Chapter 31

"Putangina mo naman, Amara! May uhog ba 'yang utak mo?!" Sigaw ko at binato ang nahablot kong vase kung saan sa kaniya. Sayang at hindi tumama dahil humarang kaagad ang bodyguards niya.

"Putangina mo!" I shouted again. Sinigurado kong damang-dama niya ang lutong ng mura ko.

Sinenyasahan ni Amara ang mga bodyguards niya na lumabas habang hindi nilalayo ang tingin sa akin. Seryoso lang siya habang nakatitig sa akin.

I can't explain my anger right now. Gusto kong magwala at magsisisigaw. How could she do that to my father?! Gano'n na lang ba siya ka-desperada?! I don't understand at all! I don't understand how she could go up to this length to avenge something that is not worthy at all!

Her father is a goddamn Governor, for fucking sake! I can't believe that her father, Hudson Silva, is using his power to do whatever his daughter wants. Hibang na talaga ang pamilya nila. Same feather flocks together.

"Your anger will do nothing, Lav. You know that." Seryosong sabi niya. Her eyes keep getting more and more deadly. "Leave Calen, and I will stop—"

"Putangina! Hanggang ngayon ba ay hindi ka pa rin titigil?! Calen didn't want you, and he will never want you!—"

"Shut the fuck up!!" Amara shouted.

"He loves me, Amara! Sinabi na niya iyon sa akin! You're too pathetic! Desperada ka! Hindi ka lang niya gusto, tapos gagawin mo na ito—"

"I don't care! Sa akin lang si Calen!"

Nagtaas-baba ang dibdib ko. "I don't really know what's your point at all, Amara. I heard you divorced him two years ago. Tapos nandito ka ngayon sa harapan ko at pinagsisiksihan mo ang sarili mo kay Calen? Hiniwalayan mo na siya—"

"Yes, I divorced him!" Amara stepped forward. "That was because I thought I was failing as his wife! I couldn't get pregnant, Lavender! No matter how many times we did it, I couldn't get pregnant! I thought something was wrong with me, and I could see from Calen's eyes that he wanted a child so bad! Hiyang-hiya ako sa sarili ko noon at lalo na kay Calen!"

"Why are you telling me about this?! How is it my concern that you couldn't get pregnant?!—"

"Because Calen is the one who's sick! Hindi ako ang may problema kung hindi siya! He's infertile!"

Napaatras ako dahil sa narinig. Tumaas-baba ang dibdib ko. I know she's just fooling me. Tama, niloloko niya lang ako. Alam kong gagawin niya ang lahat para lang mawala ako sa buhay ni Calen. I know that she could do everything to get what she wants. But no matter what happens, my faith in Calen will never be shaken.

"I know you're just trying to fool me here, Amara. Kung sa tingin mo ay madadala ako sa mga pinagsasasabi mo, puwes, hindi—"

"Are you not curious why Calen had sex with you without protection, huh?" Lumapit siya sa akin. "Calen has strong principles. He will never have sex with a woman he just met without protection! I have known him for years, Lavender. Malayong-malayo sa tagal nang pagkakakilala mo sa kaniya." Amara smirked.

"I bet Calen proposed to have sex with you without protection, right? At hindi ka ba nagtataka kung bakit pinaniwalaan ka niya kaagad na siya ang tatay ng dinadala mo? Sa tingin mo ay mayroong matinong lalaki na maniniwala kaagad sa isang babaeng nakilala lang niya at sasabihin na siya ang tatay, huh, Lavender?" She said and stepped forward. Hindi siya tumitigil.

"Are you not curious why Calen believed you so fast without undergoing into prenatal paternity DNA test, huh? Sa iba-ibang lalaki ka sumasawsaw! I know Calen knows it too! But he has fallen into liking your face and body to the point that he doesn't care anymore if he is the father of the child or not!—"
