Chapter 43

"Stop joking around, Calen." Inirapan ko siya."You can't fool me." Calen went silent and stared into my eyes.

I shook my head because of disbelief. How could he fool around here? It's been almost three years. How could he still love me after all the years I was gone? And does he expect me to believe all of his shits?

Hindi ako tanga, 'no.

I don't want to dive into too many thoughts about what he said. Hindi na rin naman siya muling nagsalita pa. Inabala ko na lang ang pag-aalis ng mga pinamili kong gamit sa mga paper bags. It's a pile of clothes that I bought for Ravi and me.

Naayos ko na ang skincare products ko sa vanity table. Yung mga pang shower naman ay naayos ko na sa banyo. His bathroom is quite big.

There was a bathtub on the left side. Inside the glass door on the right side was a jacuzzi. Yung tubig naman sa shower ay pwedeng palitan ng mainit o malamig. The tiles were black, but the wall was white. Nasa glass rack na katabi ng shower ni Calen ang mga products na ginagamit niya sa katawan. It was all mint scent.

"Mommy, where are you—aw! O-ouchie!"

Napatayo ako kaagad nang may marinig akong malakas na kalabog sa labas. Nasundan iyon ng malakas na iyak ni Ravi. Calen's eyes widened and he immediately stood up, too.

Mabilis akong lumabas sa closet room at nakitang nakadapa sa sahig si Ravi. Her face turned red while crying. Mabilis akong lumapit sa kaniya at tinayo siya. Pinunasan ko ang mga luha niya.

"Ouchie..." She said and pointed to her knees. Namumula iyon.

"What happened?" Nag-aalalang tanong ni Calen at lumapit sa aming dalawa.

"D-daddy..." Ravi called him.

My jaw dropped when Ravi shoved my hand wiping her tears away. Gulat kong pinanood si Ravi na naglakad papunta kay Calen at nagpabuhat. Nang mabuhat na siya ni Calen ay mabilis niyang niyakap ang leeg nito at sinubsob ang mukha sa kaniyang leeg. Then, Ravi cried again.

"What happened to her?" Tanong sa akin ni Calen habang hinahaplos ang buhok ni Ravi.

"She tripped. Her knees are red. It happened a lot before too."

"What?! Did they leave a scar?" Calen dramatically uttered and looked at her knees. He looked so worried because of what I said.

"Should we go to the hospital? What if she fractured her knees?" He looked at me. I thought he was joking, but he was really serious.

I rolled my eyes at him. "It's normal for toddlers to trip, Calen. You're so dramatic."

Hindi pinansin ni Calen ang sinabi ko at inalo si Ravi na umiiyak pa rin. Sumimangot ako habang nakatingin sa kanilang dalawa. Nang magtama ang paningin namin ni Calen ay inirapan ko ulit siya.

"Tsk," tiningnan ko siya nang masama bago pumasok ulit sa closet room para ayusin na ang mga gamit namin.

He was shocked and confused when I left him there with Ravi. Nakanguso ako at salubong ang kilay ko habang inaayos ang mga gamit sa bakanteng closet. I put our shoes in the glass door cabinet for shoes.

After finishing, I stretched my arms out. Napatingin ako sa buong kalooban ng closet room. It was a black and white theme. The lights were attached to the side of the ceiling. It looked extravagant.

Calen is really loaded, huh? All of his clothes, before and now, are branded and luxurious.

Tiningnan ko ulit ang sandamakmak na mga damit ko sa left side. All luxurious brands of clothes, bags, and accessories are here. The bags were placed on the glass rack beside the clothes closet. Parang ngayon ko lang nakita ang glass rack na ito rito.
