"Why are you looking at me like that?" She looked up at me, her hand holding a nugget to her lips and a curious expression in her eyes.

"I just... So I don't forget your face. I have a shitty memory."

She nodded and continued chowing down. After a minute of me staring at the lockers across the hallway and her feasting, she looked back up.

"So what we're you doing on your phone? Texting your parents?"

"No. I was just bored and scrolling on my socials."

"Oh ok. Anything new?"

"Uh... Just pictures of my friends being all couple-y on a date. It's kind of just a way to make time go faster, so nothing I see on there really matters."

"Ahh I see. What else is in there that you do that doesn't matter?"

I blushed because I was being interrogated. "Koreans."

She snorted at my bluntness. "Like what? Just Koreans? What about them?"

"Kpop." I fiddled with my nails in my lap as I usually did when I was anxious. For some reason, a lot of people were judgmental towards kpop, so I was always shy when opening up about it.

"Oh, that's cool. I used to listen to like BTS back in middle school, but I don't listen to much music anymore. Unless it's classical."

"How fancy!" I teasingly said.

She pouted. "Hey, people who listen to classical music are superior!"

I smiled. She was cute when she was playing around.

"It doesn't even have any lyrics. I'm the superior one. I listen to a bunch of words I don't really understand and I can sing along to songs pretty well for someone who only speaks English. I could sing an entire song and a Korean would probably understand perfectly. Just not me!" I laughed at myself.

She slowly applauded. "I stan talent, though. All those old guys with powdered wigs? They're where it's at!"

"A bunch of short guys with abs who sing about a back door? That's the stuff!"

She snorted laughing, which made us both melt into a puddle of giggles. My back eventually ached from all the laughing, so I ended up laying down fully on the dirty floor. She was leaning up against the lockers, tears coming out of her eyes.

Adorable.

I was literally the only person I knew who cried every time they laughed. I guess that makes two now.

Once we finally collected ourselves, we just looked at each other for a bit. He face was slightly pink now, and her lashes were clumped together from wiping the tears away.

"You're funny. Can I stick you in my bag and carry you around for comedic relief?"

I smiled. "Sure."

She smiled back before the awkwardness of staring into each other's eyes set in and she went back to her tray.

"When does lunch end again?"

"Uh.." I checked the time kn my phone. "In like two minutes."

"Shit. We should get going then. Did you end up eating anything?"

"No, but I'm still full off of those cookies yesterday."

She lightly punched my shoulder. "Every meal is important."

"I know... mom!"

She happily scoffed before stacking our trays and standing up.

"I can carry them."

"You didn't even use them!" She began walking off, me on her heels.
