"Hey, do you wanna go to school today?"
I rubbed my eyes real good before opening them and seeing Asaiah standing over me.
"Did you hear me?" She was speaking very softly. I almost kissed her right then and there.
What!? No I didn't!
I groaned. "I really don't want to go to school."
"That's okay. You were up late last night and.. I think something happened? You seemed upset."
I slowly nodded.
"You can stay and go back to sleep then. When you're hungry, eat whatever. I'll come home early if you want."
I smiled painfully. "Are you sure I'm not intruding?" I asked as I sat up and leaned on my elbows behind me.
Her face softened even more somehow. "My house is yours. I'm gonna get ready. There's just one condition."
"Yeah?"
She teasingly smiled. "Just dream of me when you go back to sleep, yeah?"
I smiled and let myself fall back onto the bed. "Of course."
"Okay. Don't do anything crazy while I'm at school. Now sleep!" she adorably commanded. She leaned down and kissed my forehead before heading to the bathroom to get ready.
How am I supposed to sleep now that my stomach and heart are fluttering!?
