Prologue

When Evelyn left she didn't know what to do. She couldn't stop the feeling the crave of blood. She tried to stop but couldn't, and the worst part was she couldn't stop thinking about Hope.

She tried to forget her erase her from her memory like she didn't exist, but she couldn't she couldn't erase Hope. She wonder how the girl felt since she heard about Klaus and Elijah. Even hearing that Evelyn couldn't bring herself to show her face to Hope.

She was the monster her parents said she was. She didn't want Hope to see her like that. She was protecting her from a ripper from her, well that's what she keeps telling herself. She moved around places not staying for to long and landed in mystic falls were she met her best friend Landon and later met Rafeal. She tried to use them as a distraction from Hope but she could never get that girl out of her mind. She was the first thing she thinks about as soon as she wakes up or when she's about to sleep.

Meanwhile Hope was heartbroken. It felt like the whole world just collapsed on her chest. She waited to see if it was a joke. Maybe she would jump out of nowhere and shout suprise she tells herself but the day never came. She just couldn't understand why she left her and on-top of that she left a note not bothering to say it in person.

The night the Klaus and Elijah died she hoped that she would come to see how she was doing. To hug her and tell her everything was going to be okay that she will never leave, but she did leave and she was not coming back.

For some days she couldn't stand up or eat. She felt like she was drowning in a pool of her tears and no one was there to safe her. She was all alone and her knight in shining armor wasn't here. The day that she realized Evelyn wasn't coming back it was like a part of her soul shattered into pieces and died. She cried and cried wishing that Evelyn will come to her aid, but not all wishes come through and hers didn't.
