I Couldn't Have Done This Without You

Hope walks into Evelyn who was going to find hey "Hey so how's moving in?" Evelyn asked "More like hell considering I will be rooming with Alyssa Chang" "You could room with me just like old times" Evelyn suggested. "If only Alaric would agree to that" Hope winced "Who said he had to know" Evelyn whispered raising an eyebrow earning a smile from Hope "That is true."

Around the corner they saw Josie and Landon talking. Hope decided to go towards them because this have been on edge with the brunette "Hey" Hope said but Josie walked away "Hey" Landon said "How's it" Hope said but Landon hugged her making both girls confused "Uh, hi" "Dude" Evelyn said not liking it at all. "Josie didn't leave because of me, right?" Hope asked trying to divert the tension "I hope not. Um, you're all moved in?" Landon asked "Yeah. Um, Alyssa Chang generously gave me back 20% of my room. Plenty of space for the nine things I still own" Hope told him "Yeah and like I said you could just sleep in my room" Evelyn then turned to Landon "With me" "What's going on?" Hope asked trying to calm things down. "Uh, Dr. Saltzman is having me test Sebastian here to see if he can stay at the school" Landon said talking about the english man "Call if you need backup?" Hope asked "I can assure you, I will be on my best behavior. Even a sidekick can handle me" He said in his english accent. 

They were currently in Evelyn room in silent. Hope knew something was bothering her and she decided to speak out about it "Evie, what's wrong?" "Nothing" Evelyn dismissed it. "Look I know when something is disturbing you and the way you were talking to Landon" Hope said "By that you mean the way he looked at you" Evelyn said "Look I know that I sound jealous it's just that he was there the night we kissed it just made me wonder what he was going to say to you and with..." "Josie not talking to me and him hugging me you kinda get the idea" Hope finished my sentence. "Yeah I'm just angry he will try something like that" Evelyn explained "Hey don't worry I'll always pick you and be with you no matter what he says or does your the only one for me" "I know that I just wished he knew. It feels like Raf all over again."

When the two couples went out of their room they heard Josie talking to Dorrian and Hope decided to help out "I can help.

I'm sure we can handle it.

I mean, it could be good practice for us" Hope said making the two of them turn to them "I am just here for moral support beside better three heads than one" Evelyn said and Dorrian looked like he was debating it before finally giving in "Have fun" he said leaving. "Thank you. Uh, but I actually don't need any help, so" Josie said packing up her books "Lizzie told me about the Sandclock. She thought I could help" Hope told her "She is great at helping people" Evelyn said "How?" Josie asked. "My friend Vincent told me a story about Mora Miseriums that hold the effects of black magic, and how dangerous they can be if they break" Hope told her "Friend isn't a word I use to describe him dude gives me the creeps" Evelyn voiced out "Look, you can't nullify the black magic inside, but you can put a protective barrier around the outside. And I know a good spell for that" Hope said.

Hope and Josie were holding hands doing the spell and it was quite beautiful in it's own way "It's actually kind of beautiful" Hope said what Evelyn was thinking "I guess. If you can look past the visions of doom"Josie stated "Damn way to be gloom" Evelyn mumbled "Thank you for doing this. I couldn't have done this without you" Josie told Hope. "No, thank you. This is the most normal I've felt all day" Hope said and Evelyn scoffed "Should I be Jealous?" she joked "Don't worry you're the only one for me." If Evelyn had a tail it would be wagging like crazy. "You should know Vincent also told me that the Sandclock degrades over time. At some point, it will break down from the inside no matter what we do. But this will at least give us some time to figure out how to defuse it" Hope explained to her "Why did Clarke choose me?" Josie asked still feeling betrayed.

"You're a trusting person. And you're more powerful than you know" Hope told her "And funny enough you don't always see the bad in people" Evelyn added on "I don't want to be either of those things" Josie blurts out continuing "The second that he had me doing black magic, my head it's like it's not mine anymore. I get upset more easily, I'm on edge. Jealous" "It's not all the magic" Hope told her and Evelyn stood up to listen because she felt like this is something she had to hear "When I got out of Malivore, um, I came here. It was the first place I wanted to be. You guys were the first people I wanted to see. I snuck onto campus. Um Evelyn and Amari were having movie night, or something, at the mill. I saw them -" "Hope" Josie said looking at Evelyn who was paying close attention to Hope. "they both looked so happy. I was so jealous" Hope said  "If the wrong person crossed my path in that moment, I can't imagine the damage I would have done" "How did you move past it?" Josie asked "I tried to move on. And I got a lot of that wrong, too. Obviously. But that doesn't mean we can't try again" Hope told her.

Evelyn was closing Hope's eyes with her hands as she entered her room with Josie and Landon done with the surprise "Okay in 3...2...1... and open" Evelyn removed her hands and Hope was shocked to see her room side decorated. "What's all this?" Hope asked confused. "Just a little something to make you feel more at home" Landon said "It's not exactly how it was, but we thought maybe you might like it if we changed it up a little bit. Thank Evelyn it was all her idea" Josie told her "Well the all powerful tribid needs someone to look after her and I am very happy to play that role" Evelyn told her "Beside I wanted to help you for a change" Hope laughed softly and it was music to Evelyn hears just seeing that smile was more than enough reason for her heart to explode. Hope kissed Evelyn on the lips and hug Josie and Landon then kissed Evelyn again but slower this them "Thank you" she whispered giving Evelyn a small peck on the lips "My pleasure princess." The couple couldn't get rid of the big smile on their face.
