IT ALL STARTED IN HIGH SCHOOL

New Chapter Bad Beginning

I am standing in front of the Carter's door. My dad and I went into town and buy a few cans of mixed flavored coke and a bottle of wine for the barbecue. I absolutely don't want to be here. However I don't want to disappoint my dad.
We ring the door bell and out comes Mrs Carter with a beautiful smile on her face. "Hey guys. Come on in. You are right on time." She says leading us through the house and out on the back patio.
I am taken aback by the view of their back hard. They have a flower garden, a pool, a swing and a gazebo further out into the back yard. Wow. This is just so amazing. This back yard can make a perfect wedding destination.
Well for anyone who loves nature and its beauty.

We aren't the only ones here. The people we are among seems like other neighbors and close friends. I scan the area looking for one person in particular. Caleb. He is no where to be found. I continue looking around. Then the suspense of not knowing if he is here or not is starting to kill me. I walk up his mom and ask her if he is at home, explaining to her that he left his phone at school in our Chemistry lab. Hiding the fact that all I tell this woman is a lie. I am slowly becoming a serial liar. God what am I doing.
She tells me he isn't home but he wouldn't mind me leaving it in his room till he gets back. "Just go up the stairs and it's the last room on your right." She says giving me direction to his room.

I follow her direction and I am now standing infront of his room door. I am nervous about going into his room but who am I kidding. He wasn't nervous coming into mine. I pushed open the door and walked in. It's pretty clean for a guy like Caleb. I mean I was expecting clothes everywhere and a strong boy stench. Guess I over think this time. I walk around his room like a stalker. I touch almost everything I can reach. He has quite a few football medals and trophies. He even hold a black belt in mixed martial arts. He looks so handsome growing up. I run my fingers up and down the picture frame in my hand.

"Hey. What are you doing in here?" Caleb's voice startles me. "Ugh hey. I just wanted to give you this." I reply handing him his phone. "Ok. Thanks." He says and reach out taking it from me. "Oh your girlfriend called. She said you better pull out of the bet you made with your goons to get me in bed." I tell him looking directly at him to see his reaction. And like I expected he looks shocked. "Wait. Wait." He stops me from leaving by closing the door behind him and blocking the door. "Wait on what? You to lie to my face about how special I am to you? Or how I make you feel much different. Forget it. Just move." I blurted out. I just want to get out. The air is becoming dense and I am really not happy about being in the same space as him.
"Let me explain." "I don't want to hear it." "Please. All that was before we became friends. It was a stupid thing to say. Am sorry. If I was still in on it do you think I would have fought with my friend?" He does have a point but in this moment I don't know if I can trust him.

He approaches me and I can't believe am letting him touch me. "Nessa. I will never hurt you. I promised you that. Please believe me. This is our new chapter together and I hate how it is starting out. Please don't do this. I  know you feel something for me. Else you would never be here. Please." He kisses me so much. I return his kisses as a form of I accept his apology type of thing.

He wraps his arms around my waist. "Nessa you are mine. I don't want no other girl. It has to be you." I look up at him. Staring into his eyes. Searching for the truth. There it is. I am starting to know when he tells the truth or not. When he does his eyes locks gaze with mine. This boy is gonna be like a drug addiction. I can just feel it.

His phone rings. It's Bailey. Again!. I wanted to walk away but he holds me in place. "Stay." He command me. I stayed listening to him on the phone. "Yea what's up?" He uses a more serious tone over the phone with her. It seems as if he wants her to know he is upset about something. "No. We can't meet up. What do you mean by why? I said no. We need to talk. Meet me at the park later. I will call and let you know the time." He doesn't wait for her to respond before cutting the call. "See am gonna fix this. Am gonna show you that I am a changed man." He tells me planting a firm kiss on my lips.

We are back outside and the barbecue is so active. Everyone is just having a great time. We walked to the gathering and join in on the fun.
"Nessa. Nessa." My dad calls out to me from the other side of the yard. I walk over to him and a woman talking. "Yea dad? What's up?" "Well there is someone I want you to meet. This is Andrea my friend from High School. She and Catherine went to the same University." He seems really overjoyed to see her again. I turned to her and smile. Reaching out to meet her hand and we shake each other's hand. "Nice to meet you. From what I hear, you are a strong and wonderful young lady." Andrea's compliment makes me remember mom for a second. "Why thank you." I answer looking at dad with a questioning face.
We talk for a good while. Then Caleb calls my name. "Hey wanna get outta here for a minute?" I wonder why he asks but there must be a good reason. "Ok let's go." I reply without sparing a minute. "Just let me tell Dad am going out." I say before going back towards my dad.

We get in the car and he pulls me in for a kiss. "I am sorry but I just have to. I miss you." "But we were just together at the same place. I dont....." he kisses me again. "You were miles from me. Giving all your attention to your dad's girlfriend or whatever." He says starting the car. "First off not his girlfriend and secondly why are you sounding jealous?" I ask curiously. "You're mine." Is all he says backing out of the drive way.

We drive down a dirt road. I have no idea where we are or where we are going. "Do you mind telling me where we are going?" I asking touching his hand thats been resting on my leg since we left the barbecue. "Its for me to know and you to find out." He smirks. I love when he does that. It's rude but I love it.
We came to a stop infront of a cabin. It is in the middle of no where. I can hear rushing water. I am gonna guess there isa river or lake near by. We got out of the car and walk into the cabin. Once inside my jaws dropped.

There is a table with cooked food and wine. He prepared white rice and steamed fish. "What's this?" I asked him. "Well I want out first day to be special. I want you all to myself on this date." He tells me sounding all romantic. I looked over at him and I just wanted to kiss him....and I did. I walked up to him and claim his lips with mine. "This is just amazing." I reply making him blush. "I have never done this before so I hope you will like it." He says motioning for both of us to sit and eat.

The food is delicious. Wow. "I want you to come to the park with me later." Hearing him say this make it hard for me to swallowtail food in my mouth. "No. I don't think that's a good idea." "Why not?" "Because I don't want to make things awkward and complicated." "You won't. You're my woman. You should be there. I want you trust me." He says taking my hand. I squeezed his hand in return. "Ok but am not getting out the car. I don't want no drama." I tell him.

We eat the remainder of our food in silence. "What?" I catch him staring at me. "Nothing. Just admiring my woman. You're so beautiful." His words are about to give me a heart attack. Why is he so nice.
I got you something today. He reached in his sweater pocket and pulls out a gift box. He hands it to me. "Go on. Open it." I did as he instructed me to do. Wow. This is just breath taking. "So do you like it?" "Like it? Wow this is just beautiful" I answered looking down on the necklace in the gift box. It so shine and beautiful. It has two pendants on it. A heart shaped lock and a small key. He quickly comes behind me and takes up the necklace. "Lift your hair." After I did that he places it around my neck.

Standing in from of me he holds my hands and says "Will you be my forever?" I am totally shocked right now. I don't know what to stay. "Well?" I just don't know what to say. I just kiss him. This time I am the one searching inside his mouth. I sucked on his tongue a little bit then I pulled on his lip with my teeth. "So I take that as a yes." He hold both sides of my face with his hands and asks. "Yes. Yes." I smiled and let out.
He kisses me. My man kisses me and this time it feels more passionate than before. "To a brand new beginning babe." He tells me before taking my hand and leading me to what I am assuming is the bed room.
