Kara's POV

With my mouth open, I watched Lena disappear. My cheek was still tingling from Lena's kiss and my face still felt hot. I don't know why she had done it, but I had no problem repeating it. I was relieved that everything between me and Lena was finally settled. Except of course the fact that I fell in love with my best friend.

Yes, I am now 100% sure that I have fallen in love with her... that kiss proved it to me.

I looked at the clock. 12h10. In 20min I have to be at Nia's, so I quickly got ready. However, when I was in the bathroom, I felt a coldness run through my body and fear grow within me. I heard screaming and it felt like someone was holding me down. As I tried to convince myself that no one was there, I looked in the mirror and saw a phantom. I screamed and sprinted to the kitchen. When I calmed down and my skin no longer felt frozen, I gathered all my courage and went back into the bathroom. As expected, there was nothing there.

I went to Nia as quickly as I could but kept my daytime nightmare to myself. It must have been consequences or some trauma from the Phantom Zone. But I don't want to worry anyone. I already have a solution... I can't be alone anymore. But that could be difficult in the long run.

After lunch with Nia, I went to Alex's to spend time with my sister. She told me what I had missed in the last few months and updated me. Unfortunately, she didn't tell me everything as I found out later.

"Yes, Kara, we can't show Kara Danvers and Supergirl to the world again at the same time. Many people will get suspicious and find out your identity," Alex explained to me why I needed a good story first.

"I could say that Supergirl fell into a black hole and traveled in time or was in another dimension. Uh oh or even better. I saved the world with Flash in his world? That would explain Supergirl's disappearance, no?", I tried to help Alex.

"Yeah... that's not such a bad idea. And you got hurt in the process and that's why you were gone for so long. Perfect. However, this excuse doesn't work anymore since we live in a Prime world. And why was Kara Danvers gone for so long?", Alex murmured thoughtfully.

"I was investigating a new source and came across something that put me in danger," I tried again. Alex looked at me skeptically.

"Kara, what kind of source?"

We were interrupted by a beeping sound. I took my phone and saw a message from Lena.

Lena: hey :) hope dinner with Nia went well. Can I come by your house again today?

I stared at my screen like a little kid who just got cotton candy in his hand.

"Ehm Kara? Did you win the lottery?" laughed Alex. "W-what?", I asked, puzzled.

"You look at your phone as if you had been given hundreds of potstickers or as if Easter and Christmas were on the same day," Alex was still laughing.

"Oh, well, it's just that Lena and I are friends again we worked everything out."

"OMG YESSSS! Finally. That fight didn't do either of you any good. You guys need this friendship." Alex hugged me tightly. I smiled at her in agreement and answered Lena.

Kara: heyyy and yeah:) Dinner? 18h?

Lena: I'd love to! See you in a bit😊

Cheerfully I hugged Alex and said goodbye. It was 17h and I had to get everything ready. I wanted to cook something delicious for Lena, I just had to figure out what.
