Heyy, there is again a small change with the POV.
Lena put Jack's stuff in a box and then handed it to him, she said goodbye and immediately headed back to Kara. Jack tried to apologize, but Lena just waved her hand and said that everything was okay and that she had to do something important.
With Kara on her mind, she drove through the streets as fast as she could. She parked the car and ran up the stairs, but to her disappointment, Kara was not home. She knocked and rang the doorbell, but no one answered. Kara was gone.
She turned her back to the door and leaned against it. She looked up. Where are you, Kara... Sadly, Lena let herself slide down the door until she finally sat on the floor.
She was determined to wait there until Kara was back. She had promised to explain everything to her.
But time passed and no Kara was in sight. Where is she... Does she remember the kiss between us? Does she know that she confessed her feelings to me yesterday? Lena thought. She took her cell phone and called Kara, but she heard it ringing in Kara's apartment. Great...
While Lena was sitting there on the floor, she realized that she had no idea what to say to Kara. How was she supposed to explain to her that she got together with Jack and broke up with him again because of her? How was she supposed to explain that she had always had a special thing for Kara? She wasn't used to talking about feelings or opening up to anyone. But with Kara everything was different. There was no way she could lose Kara.
Lena closed her eyes and tilted her head against Kara's door. She pulled her knees to her and hugged them. She thought of the first time she had seen Kara in her office. At that time, she thought her smile and shyness were cute. Then she thought about when L-Corp was attacked and Kara told her she was going to hide. Lena said she would be safest with her nearby. But now she realized that Kara wanted to leave to dress up as Supergirl. She had to smile, sometimes she hadn't simplified Kara's double life.
Meanwhile, Kara finally reached her apartment. She needed time to think, so she walked home. But when she finally stood in front of her door, she saw Lena sitting in front of it with her eyes closed. She hadn't expected Lena to be there waiting for her, but she had to smile. Lena really came back as soon as she could.
Kara approached her. Lena, sensing a presence, opened her eyes and saw her. "Hey," Lena said softly. "Hey..."
Kara held out her hand and Lena took it. She pulled Lena up. "Thanks." "No problem," the Kryptonian replied.
She took her key and opened the door. The atmosphere was a bit strange between them. Kara was ashamed of what she had done and Lena on the other hand loved it but didn't know how to explain it.
"How are you? Are you hungover?"
Kara looked at her sheepishly. "Um, no... one of the advantages of being a super I guess." Lena just nodded and saw that her note was no longer against the vase. Kara followed her gaze.
"Thanks Lena for helping me yesterday and staying. I appreciate it." Lena nodded again and came a little closer to her. She sensed that Kara was a little distant. She didn't like this distance between them. That's why she decided to ask her the question that had been on her tongue all along.
"Kara... Do you remember what happened yesterday in your room?" Kara averted her eyes from Lena and watched the floor. She was embarrassed to confess it. "Yes..." She looked back up at Lena. "I'm sorry I kissed you."
For a moment Lena was afraid that Kara regretted the kiss. That the kiss hadn't meant as much to her as it had meant to Lena. But then Kara continued: "It wasn't right...you're in a relationship with Jack." As she said this, she turned her back to Lena so she wouldn't see her tears.
