The next morning Clary woke up, sweating. Jace was no where to be seen. She knew she shouldn't worry, but last night's talk had scared her. Was he dead? As if he knew Clary was in the other room worrying about him, he walked in.
"Good morning, angel."He said as he bent down to kiss her quickly on the lips.
"I like that. " Clary whispered.
"What, the kiss or me calling you angel?"
"Well, i was talking about you calling me angel, but i did like the kiss."
Jace sat down next to Clary on the bed and put her in his lap. Slowly, add if teasing her, he brought his mouth to hers. Their lips meet with such force Clary almost feel over, not expecting it, but Jace's and caught her, reminding her he was always there for her. She wound her fingers into his hair and pushed him closer while his hands slowly found their way up her shirt. She laughed when he tickled her sides. Clary pulled Jace's fresh shirt off his head and threw it to the floor. Her hands explored every inch of his chest, while her tongue explored every inch of his mouth. Jace moved his mouth down to her neck, making her moan. Slowly, his mouth got lower and lower until it was testing just under her collarbone. He pulled away and began to remove Clary's shirt. She gladly helped him, then started working on his pants, when she glimpsed the clock.
"Ohmygod! Jace, we only have 15 minutes before school starts!"She shrieked.
Reluctantly they seperated and rushed to get dressed. In order to get to school on time Jace had to stored, but they did it, walking into advisory just mere seconds before the bell rang. Ms. Ford gave them dirty looks but didn't say anything, thankfully.
In art Clary drew a jungle scene. Flowers and plants everywhere, a giraffe in the background with a snake wrapped around a tree. Needless to say, Ms. Herron loved it. The class zoomed by and soon it was time for math. In math they were learning about a number's absolute value. Clary was trying to pay attention, but Jace kept poking her in the side, making her laugh. Eventually Ms. Ford asked if there was a problem. Clary glared at Jace but said no. After math came lunch. Clary sat with Jace, Simon, Izzy, and Alec. Today, Clary wasnt hungry, so she offered her lunch to Jace. At first he said no but eventually gave in and ate it.
"Did you have breakfast this morning Clary? "He asked, concerned. Luckily he said it quiet enough that nobody hard except her.
"No. "She replied sheepishly. Jace just frowned but didn't say anything.
Clary couldn't stop thinking about the whole Sebastion thing. What if there were more? Here at St. Xavier's? The thought child her bones. Jace noticed her shiver and offered her his football hoodie. It was as close as their school got to letter jackets. Clary gratefully took the hoodie and pulled it on over her head. Surprisingly, it wasn't sport big on her. Yes, it was baggy. Yes, the sleeves were too long. And yes, it was too long, but it smelled like Jace and she liked the idea of everyone knowing Jace had given it to her. And somehow she felt safer when she wore it, like Jace's arms were wrapped around her and nothing, not even Sebastion, could hurt her. Clary leaned her head on Jace's shoulder and he wrapped his arm around her. Eventually Clary ended up on his lap. She didn't know how, but it happened. She kinda liked it, too.
"Yo, Jace! " Ezra called out. Ezra was one of the most popular guys at school. He was also on the football team.
"Yo, Ezra!" Jace called back with just as much enthusiasm. Ezra and Jace did that weird guy hug/handshake thing. It didn't work out so well since Clary was still on Jace's lap.
"You guys wanna come over to our table?" He asked. Clary wasnt sure if he meant her and Jace or Izzy, Simon, and Alec as well.
"Yeah, man. "Jace said. It turns out he meant everyone, so they all moved over to the "popular" table. Of course Lauren was sitting there, but she didn't notice them. She was too busy suckling the face of some random guy. At least she had gotten over Jace.
"Hey. I'm Kaitlyn. " A girl with brownish blonde hair that stopped at her shoulders was looking at Clary.
"I'm Clary. This is Jace, Izzy, Simon, and Alec. " Clary felt uncomfortable while she introduced her friends.
"Oh, everyone already knows who you and Jace are. "
Clary didn't really know how to respond to that, so she didn't. She just sat there for a little, feeling very awkward until Jace wrapped his arm around her waist and brought her onto his lap, like he had back at the other table.
"Clace! " Kaitlyn squealed.
"What? "Clary asked, confused.
"Clace. "Kaitlyn repeated, this time in a normal voice. "It's Clary and Jace put together. It's a couples name. Your all anyone ever talks about. "
Ezra walked over and say down next to Kaitlyn, across from Clary and Jace. Ezra blonde hair. Not like Jace's, darker. It was cut in an athlete style. He had big muscles, but not as big as Jace's. She could tell why he was popular. Jace and Ezra talked for the rest of lunch while Kaitlyn and Clary chatted. It turns out she was dating Ezra and had been since the beginning of the school year.
"So how long have you and Jace been dating? "Kaitlyn asked.
Clary had to think about that one. It had been about 3 years since she had met Jace. She didn't know how long it had been since they actually started dating.
"About 3 years, i think. "Clary answered.
Kailtlyn's eyebrows shot up. Clearly 3 years was a long time for a highschool relationship.
"Wow. 3 years. Really? "Ezra asked, joining in on the conversation.
"Yep. "Jace answered for her.
The bell rang and it was time to go to core.
