City Of Clace Chapter 22

Jace and Clary had just finished tutoring some kids in their class and were standing by Clary's locker kissing when Percy walked by. Clary pulled at from Jace and said hi.

"Hey, do you know where locker 1359 is? "Percy asked.

"Ya! It's right next to mine. "She said. Locker 1359 had been Will's locker but since he was a demon and she killed him, the locker was open.

Clary could tell Jace was very frustrated. This was the second time Percy had interrupted their kissing. Clary saw Ezra and Kaitlyn down the hall so she grabbed all her stuff and pulled Jace towards them.

"Hi, Clary. "Kaitlyn waved.

"Hi. "She said back.

Jace and Ezra were already deep in conversation. Jace was ranting about how the new guy Percy just keep on interrupting them from kissing and Ezra was going on about how he had seen him interrupt is by the lockers.
Jace was becoming Mr. Popular. Him and Ezra were now as close as him and Alec. Clary wished she could say the same about her and Kaitlyn, but Clary didn't think she liked her much. Whenever Clary and her talked they never talked about anything important. It was all just gossip, which, yes, sometimes could be interesting. The bell rang and it was time to go to class. Since Jace and Clary are in seperate advisories as Kaitlyn and Ezra, they said their goodbyes and left.

"Does Ezra ever get in your nerves? "Clary asked Jace.

"Oh, ya. All the time. "Jace replied with a chuckle, "we never talk about anything important. Except you. With Alec I could tell him all my problems and he'd be there for me, but Ezra just, isn't. "

"I know what you mean. I have the same problem with Kaitlyn. It's like the only thing she cares about is who's dating who and when it happened." Clary ranted. This was part of why she loved Jace, they both got annoyed by the same things.

"What about that Percy guy? Do you like him? "He asked.

"I don't like like him but i like him. "

"Huh? "Jace asked, clearly confused. He did not speak girl.

"I don't have a crush on him, but i like him like a friend. "

Jace was dubious. How could Clary like someone who had interrupted their kissing? Twice! And he was much hotter. I mean green eyes and black hair? Gross. But green eyes with red hair, now that was something.

"Hello? Jace! Earth to Jace! "He heard Clary calling him. He must have spaced out while he was staring at her. Again.

"Oh, sorry. I was just daydreaming about you. "He replied while giving her a quick peck on the lips. If they got caught making out by a teacher one more time they were both getting detentions. And one more detention for Jace and he got suspended for a week. Nor that he would mind, but it would definatley bother Maryse.

"Ok class, today we'll be starting unit 7. Get you textbooks it and open to page 250 (For the maze runner fandoms. )and wait for the announcments to come on. No talking! "

Jace tuned out the rest while he thought about Percy. Wasn't he supposed to have the same schedule as him and Clary? He wasn't here, did he get lost? He laughed at the prospect of that. Apparently that was the wrong thing to do because Ms. Ford gave him her death glare. She thought he had been laughing at her.

Finally, the bell rang, signaling the class to leave and go to the next class. For Clary and Jace, art. Clary had been worrying about Percy during advisory. He had the same exact schedule as her, he should have been there, but he wasn't.

"He could have just been late. "She thought to herself. She didn't realize she had said that out loud until Jace responded.

"Or maybe he accidentally went and died in a hole. " It bothered Clary how cheerfully he said that. She laughed anyway. She couldn't help it, Jace just had that affect on her. Whenever she was with him, no matter where they were, she was happy. Even in Hell Jace had made it bearable.
