"Your locker is over that way at the end of the hall. 1360."Clary told Jace.

He was disappointed and, though he would never say it out loud, nervous about leaving Clary. He didn't know the school at all and didn't want to leave Clary alone.

"I'll come to your locker when I'm done here and we'll walk to advisory together."Clary finished as he walked away.

Their schedule was:
Advisory
Art
Math
Lunch
Core
English
Gym
Science
Social studies
Clary quickly twisted her lock to the right combination, 8-26-36,and put her backpack away. She grabbed her binder filled with her notebooks and slammed the locker door shut while locking the lock. She looked next to her for Simon but he was nowhere to be seen. With a shrug she walked off to find Jace.

When Clary reached Jace he was looking very annoyed.

"What's wrong? "Clary asked.

"I cant open this stupid locker!"He shouted.

"Here, let me help. "

Clary gently pushed Jace out of the way and asked for his combination.

"4-8-12"he replied anxiously.

Clary opened it effortlessly. She decided he might need more help do she took his backpack and put it away then got all of his stuff out for him.

"Did poor Jacey poo not know how to do something? "Clary said in a baby voice.

Jace cupped her neck with his hand and leaned down to kiss her but right when their lips were about to meet, somebody tapped Jace on the shoulder. He turned away from Clary, annoyed once again.

"Hi. I'm Lauren. You must be new here. What's your name? "The girl said.

She had long blonde hair that reached her waist. Her eyelashes had about ten pounds of mascara on them. Even Izzy would think that's too much. She had a blue patriots basketball sorry shirt on with gray sweats and Nike slides. Lauren must have been one of the "popular" girls.

"I'm Jace."

To Clary's surprise he seemed to be acting very nice for some reason and she didn't like it.

"Hi Jace."Lauren said while batting her mascara covered eyelashes ferociously.

"Ok, well, we'd better get going now. Bye. "Clary said, stopping Lauren from whatever she was going to say next, no doubt something flirtatious.

Clary and Jace hurried to class before the bell rang. Jace almost got lost about 4 times on the way there eventually they made it with only a few seconds to spare.
