There was only one person. . . Sebastion. As if on cue, a shadowy figure emerged from the corner of the kitchen, making Jace whip his Seraph blade out.

"Hello, sister. Hello, Jace. "Sebastion practically spat Jace's name, as if it hurt him to say it.

"Go away, you little-"Jace was about to say but Clary cut him off by glaring at him. "Sorry. "He then muttered, still glaring at Sebastion.

"What do you want? "Clary demanded.

"Oh, it's simple really. All i want is you, my sister. " Sebastion was being surprisingly calm about all this, as if he had all the time in the world.

"Why would you want Clary? "Jace growled. With every word he took one step closer to Sebastion until they were just inches apart. With the flick of his wrist, Sebastion sent Jace flying. He rammed into the wall on the other side of the kitchen.

"Jace! "Clary skrieked, running over to him.

"I'm fine, I'm fine. "He insisted. He tried to stand up but almost fell over again. Clary had to keep him steady.

"How about this. "Sebastion said, an evil smirk plastered onto his face. "We have a fight, just the two of us, and if you win, i won't take Clary. If i win, i get to take Clary. " Jace thought for a moment and came to a conclusion.

"Alright, deal. " Sebastion and Jace walked up to each other and shook hands, settling it. With no warning, Sebastion slammed his fist into Jace's gut, but he must have been ready for it because he backed up. The fist only brushed his side. Now they were moving so fast Clary couldn't even see it. It seemed like Jace was winning. Sebastion's nose was bleeding heavily and he had several deep cuts that were gushing blood. It didn't look like they were going to stop any time soon.

"Give up now. "Jace grunted in between punches, which Sebastion wasn't blocking.

"Nope. "He said in his usual voice despite the fact he was getting punched repeatedly. And then he did something not even Jace could have prepared for. In less than a second, Sebastion was behind Jace with his arm around his neck, choking him. With one punch to the head, Jace was knocked out.

"Looks like i won. "Sebastion declared, as if that wasn't obvious. Clary was planning on making a run for it, but before she could, Sebastion had his fingers wrapped around her wrist, stopping her. He twisted a ring around his finger and she no longer found herself in the kitchen of The Institute, but in a dungeon underground somewhere. It was cold and dark, not very comftorable.

"Where are we? "Clary tried to ask, but her voice wouldn't work. She tried again. Nothing came out.

"Oh, i forgot to tell you. "Sebastion said, delighted. "There are runes put up all around, so you can't talk or use you're special. . . Power. "

Clary was going to reply with a snarky comment, but didn't want to give him the joy of seeing her struggle. Instead, she sat there, glaring.

"Boy, if looks could kill. "Sebastion muttered. Clary just smiled a cold smile, not reaching her eyes.

Sebastion began to tie her legs and arms with a rough rope about 3 inches thick. She knew there would be bruises left behind with how rough he was treating her. If she didn't move he'd punch her or pull her hair. She was going to be bald by the end of this. Just as she was completely tied up, a loud alarm went off. It sounded like the fire alarms at school, but she doubted there was a fire on here.

"Crap. "Sebastion muttered. He walked over to the other side of the room and pressed his hand up against the wall. A door opened and he left, but not before drawing one last rune on the door.

The alarm had just stopped and she could hear thuds coming from above. Her first thought was Jace, bit she didn't want to get her hopes up. For all she knew, Jace was still lying on the kitchen floor unconcious. Or, the hopeful part of her brain thought, he's up there saving me. Just as she thought that, a loud pounding came from where the door had been.

"Clary! Clary, are you in there? It's me, Jace! "

"Yes! I'm here! "Clary wanted to say, but of course couldn't. All she could do was hope Jace would be able to find her. The pounding grew louder until it was sure to break. A few minutes later, a crack spread from the top right corner. 3 hits later, the door finally cracked in half, revealing a very sweaty Jace.

"Oh, Clary! Are you okay? I'm going to kill Sebastion. "Jace shouted. He ran to where Clary was tied up and slashed the ropes with his trusty Seraph blade. Using his stele, Jace undid the runes on Clary so she could talk once again.

"Jace! Thank you so so much! I love you! "Clary cried, tears threatening to spill out. Jace picked Clary up bridal style and carried her out of the dungeon and to a portal Magnus must have set up. Within seconds, Clary was back in the comfort of The Institute. Jace gently set her down on their bed.

"Go to sleep. You could use the rest. "Jace whispered, planting a kiss on her forehead. And with that, Clary fell asleep.
