Chapter 16

Odetta pov

When I woke up later that day, it was around 3pm. Not too bad, as classes got out around 1. A little after I woke up, Remus, Peter, Dorcas, Marlene, Sirius, and Lily had all come into the hospital wing.

Sirius had instantly gone over to James, while Remus and Peter stopped to say hi, before going over to James as well.

Though all the girls were practically rushing over to me, Marlene got to me first, and wrapped me in a home crushing hug. I let out a small squeak of surprise.

"Marlene- don't give me another broken rib" I joked. Although it didn't hurt as much as yesterday, it still hurt a lot.

She instantly let go of me and smiled apologetically.

"So when are you getting out?" She asked impatiently.

So this girl doesn't even care about my wellbeing? How rude.

"I could've died." I joked, putting on a hurt look, and pulling my hand to my chest.

"Aw no you can't die on me detta. You'd be leaving me alone with those idiots." Lily said, pointing at James, Sirius, and Marlene.

"Yeah detta you can't leave us, you'd be leaving us with the bookworm who can't stop studying." Dorcas joked, pointing to lily.

"Don't even." Was all lily said to her, before turning back to me.

For a few minutes after, we were all chatting and joking about random things. Lily had given me the homework I needed to do, along with some notes she took.

As for seeing dumbdore, me and James had agreed earlier that morning before we fell asleep, that we'd both see his once we got out of the hospital wing.

I later found out that Alice had met some boy named Frank Longbottom, and they'd started hanging out just a few days prior to my little accident.

After talking to the girls for a bit, Sirius and Remus had walked over to my bed.

How weird.

After a moment of just standing there, Remus had cleared his throat. Sirius then looked at him, and looked at Peter a certain way. Soon, both of them exited the room.

Again, how weird.

Sirius then whispered something indecipherable into Lily's ear, and motioned towards Marlene and Dorcas. She simply nodded her head, before giving the girls a look, motioning towards to door, and soon they as well had left.

Now it was just me, Sirius, James, and some other third year in the room.

Me, who was getting tired of the weird looks and silence, soon spoke. Before I knew it, he probably would've been giving me a look to leave the room too.

"Um hello? Why are you being all weird and mysterious with me?" I asked Sirius, who was still standing above my bed, with a solemn look on his face.

Did someone die?

After a moment, Sirius finally spoke.

"I'm sorry detta." He said in a hurry. I wouldn't have heard him if it weren't for my rather amazing ears.

But besides that, I really didn't know what he was apologizing for.

"For?" I asked cluelessly. I actually had no clue what he was talking about.

"I'm sorry for getting mad at you, and calling Rosier a death eater and a blood traitor." Sirius mumbled. It wasn't exactly in his nature to apologize.

"I'm sorry.. what?" I asked, with a slight smirk on my face. I knew Sirius didn't look apologizing, but I wanted to take advantage of this situation you could say.
