It was a sad day that day.
The day tears had fallen, sobs and yells were heard, and the people around couldn't help but feel bad too.
After Sirius Black had lost his heartbeat, wails were heard from room 507. Wails, and screams, and sobs were all emitted from the room that day.
The loudest screams were heard from both equally heartbroken James Potter and Odetta Lynch. They couldn't fathom his death.
The boy that they had both loved so dearly was just.. taken from them. Stolen from right under their noses.
The boy that everyone had grown to know and love was taken from them.
James Potter loved Sirius because he was like the brother the boy never had. Of course, yes, there was Remus, and there was Peter, but neither of them were ever with James on the personal level that Sirius was. James Potter loved Sirius Black because of how he could never not make someone smile. Even if they were mad, any joke he would crack, or stupid thing he would do would instantly put a smile on their faces. James Potter loved Sirius Black because of the fact that Sirius Black loved him for his reasons. James Potter loved Sirius Black because Sirius Black allowed him to take a look further into his actual life. Into his true feelings. James would never forget that, nor would anyone ever forget Sirius.
Odetta Lynch loved Sirius Black because of the way he was like the brother she never had. Odetta Lynch loved Sirius Black because of the way they could both relate to the same things. Odetta Lynch loved Sirius Black because of the way she could talk to him about things that she would never think of sharing with another. Odetta Lynch loved Sirius Black because of the way the room lit up when he walked in. Odetta Lynch loved Sirius Black because of the way that he would tell her everything. The way that he allowed her to help him just as he helped her. Odetta Lynch loved Sirius Black because he left a big impact on her.
And boy was she going to wreak havoc if Walburga and Orion thought that they would get away with that.
The married couple weren't allowed to see him, everyone having denied their request to see him. Yes, those are his biological parents, but they had a reputation. And while many didn't know the things that actually happened under the Black roof, Odetta and James did.
Odetta promised herself that she would murder his parents the next time she saw them. Whether it was with her bare hands, or her wand, they were going to end up in the afterlife the next time her eyes laid upon them.
Actually, Marlene and Lily had to hold Odetta back after she tried to lunge herself at Walburga. She's heard of the foul things the bitch had done. And Odetta was not having it.
It seems great mind thing alike, because almost at the same time, James lunged at Orion as well. James may have not known everything Orion had done to Sirius, but he didn't want to. He just wanted to make sure that Orion and Walburga never did it again. But, he didn't want that problem solved by killing Sirius.
Screams and ugly words were heard very clearly to some of the people on the floors above and below. It was almost impossible anyone was unaware of the screaming contest unless they were unconscious.
No words could describe how angry everyone was. They never felt it to the extent that James and Odetta did. Yes, they felt worse than horrible that their friend's life was just snatched from them under their noses. But nothing could ever compare to how James and Odetta felt.
For today, and for Sirius, they got over their bickering and drama that's happened in the past few weeks, and they've come together to mourn his death like civilized people do. They put all of the petty mess, and arguements, and events behind themselves today. Because their friend's death is and will always be more important than something they'll get over in a few weeks.
