Prologue continued:
Prince Ramesses was still being held by Isetnofret and looked on longingly as the other children played. His father sensing his son's melancholy looked at Isetnofret " let Ramesses join the others and play" the prince didn't need telling twice thanking his father, he quickly ran down the steps and onto the grass running towards Amunher and Tarik before his mother could stop him.
Amunher hearing his father's words frowned slightly matching Isetnofrets expression for a second, till the prince appeared jovially by his side " Well you can be a monster that we encounter on our journey" he said giving his half-brother a glare
"That's not fair!" Khepri jumped up rounding on Amunher " You can be our troop commander" she said putting her hand gently on Ramesses shoulder she smiled a wide smile at him ignoring the looks of hate from Amunher.
" No absolutely not. I am in charge so I decide who is commander, you have obviously forgotten that your brother is troop commander!" he pointed towards Tarik.
Moving her hand from Ramesses shoulder she glared at Amunher as he made himself appear bigger puffing out his chest he gave Ramesses a challenging stare.
" Tarik you wont mind will you, if Ramesses is troop commander?"
Amunher's gaze grew harder and he gave her a hateful expression before turning to his father who now sat watching them, with one eye brow raised a thoughtful expression etched on his face.
" As the great Pharaoh of all of Egypt" Amunher bowed slightly outstretching his arms then pointed towards Khepri " Please tell my pirate Queen, that Kings choose their own troop commanders"
Meritamen started to laugh clutching her sides in hysterics, her laughter echoed around the garden and startled Henuttawy and Nebettawy. Amunher frowned rounding on her " Whats so funny?" he snapped, still laughing she ran to him grabbing his arm and staring up at him with wide hazel eyes " Oh brother, you are taking this way to seriously, we are just playing, or have you forgotten?" he went to reply but she cut him off " also you and Lady Khepri sound like an old married couple, what with all your bickering" she nudged her brother playfully in the ribs and winked at Khepri.
Amunher angry now retorted " I am not old and we are certainly not a married couple!" he said looking at Khepri and as an afterthought occurred to him he added " I would never want to marry a woman like her, as she would make a terrible wife!"
Nefertari suddenly rose from her seat shaking her head, hands on her slender hips " that is not very nice you will apologize to Lady Khepri at once. Just because you are a prince you think you can talk to your subjects like that, I will not have that, now apologize!"
She glared at her son daring him to argue back, he blushed and turned back to Khepri walking towards her he stopped standing in front of her
" I am sorry, he can be a troop commander but know this I don't like it" His expression hardened again as he glared at Ramesses.
" A good Pharaoh is always understanding and compassionate to those who are less fortunate than him"
