Chapter seven

Two days later

Alicia's pov

I got no sleep lastnight.. my baby has had a slight fever since yesterday morning. I'm so thankful for lizzie, she's off today and she said she was going to keep Aiden for me. Cause if she didn't I would've had to leave him with Jaymir. I'm at work right now and I've been yawning nonstop, in mid yawn someone walked up to me.

"Hey sleepyhead"

It was larry.

Me: Hey Larry, what are you doing here?

Larry: What else do people do at a restaurant?

He smiled and so did I.

Larry: Lau told me little man has a fever

Me: Yeah my baby isn't feeling good.

Larry: Where is he?

Me: He's with Lizzie..

Larry: Oh ok ok they must be at her house because when lau told me on the phone she wasn't there

Me: Yeah there or her moms house

Larry: Well... I have something for him...

Me: Really?

Larry: Yeah it's just some action figures

Me: Thank you Larry.. you know, he really likes you.. he calls you big Larry

Larry:Aww really?

Me: Yeah he said it's because you're really tall

Larry: That is the cutest thing

When Larry smiles it makes me smile... it's always been like that honestly.

Larry: Also.. close your eyes and hold your hand out

Me: Larry you better not be playing no tricks

Larry: No no of course not...eyes closed

I stuck my hand out and closed my eyes. Next thing I know is a box in my hand.

Larry:Ok now you can open

I opened my eyes and wanted to cry.

Me: Larry...why'd you..

He got me a new phone.

Me: Larry I.. I can't take this

Larry: You can.. It's all yours

Me: Why?

Larry: You don't need to be busting your ass for something that is someone else's fault..

A tear fell down my face and I wiped it.. I came from around the counter and gave him a hug.

Me: Thank you so much... I'm going to repay you I promise

Larry: No no no.. you owe me nothing

After the hug I went back behind the counter.

Larry:So I seen you and my sister talking at Jules birthday.

Me: Yes.. I talked to her about putting Aiden into preschool

Larry: If you need help with anything.. I got you

Me:No larry this is already enough

He stayed at work with me for another hour, then had to leave. Thinking about him after he left, made my shift go by so fast. Lizzie came back up here with Aiden.

Me:Hi mommy's baby

Aiden:Hi mommy

Me:Thank you lizzie, I owe you big time
