Vincent's POV
When we finally left the academy, Helena and dad seemed really excited about something. I was a tad confused on why they were acting that way. Without even trying to question them, I pulled out my phone and started to play BTD5, that I had downloaded. It was really fun, but not as fun at the classic games like Pokemon Heart Gold and Ruby.
I kept looking up from my phone toward outside as we passed by other homes. When we crept closer to the manor, it felt like an eternity. Once we were outside the main entrance of the manor, Jake parked the limo and helped dad and Helena out. Irene came outside from the manor and helped Ciel and I.
"Sir, all of your family's belongings are in their designated rooms, also the rest of the furniture will be arriving very soon." Irene told dad after Ciel and I were out of the limo. It's interesting to see that this manor is an exact replica of the original Michaelis Manor back in England. As soon as Jake drove the limo into the garage, the movers' truck pulled in. Ciel looked like he was going to jump off the planet with all the jumping he's doing.
"Hey, Ciel calm down. After all you haven't seen your room yet." I spoke up.
"I know Vinc. It's just that I'm so happy that we finally get to attend the same academy and also dad told me that our rooms are right by each other." Ciel tells me.
"That's a good thing. If anytime you get a nightmare I'll be right by you. Like always."
"You're the best big brother anyone could ask for."
"Also that explained why dad and Helena were so excited."
"Yeah that's true." Ciel told me as he is helping dad with some of the chairs for the dining room.
"Vincent, why don't you try and help us out?" Helena called out to me. I started to get the feeling that she reminded me of mom, but that did make sense because Helena was a close family friend to my mom. She was a replacement mother for Ciel and myself.
"I'm coming, Helena." I call back. While I was help dad and Ciel carry the loveseat inside the manor, I saw someone's family limo drive by the manor. What was interesting was that I was able to see who was inside the limo, until I saw that it was Kyoya Ootori. He must live near by then.
"Hey, Vinc are you day dreaming about one of the students you met today?" dad asked. With his comment I started to blush without even realising it. I looked to where Kyoya's limo was and I noticed that his limo didn't drive far from where the manor is.
"D-dad don't be absurd. Why would I be thinking of them?" I questioned.
"Come on don't act so shocked, Vinc. While Helena and dad were talking with Mr. Suoh, I had taken notice that you only looked at Kyoya the entire time. It seemed like you didn't even want to acknowledge Tamaki." Ciel chimed in. Really both my dad and brother now think I was thinking of them (Kyoya and Tamaki). Ugh what next?
"Really now you, too Ciel. It's not my fault that Tamaki hardly said anything." I responded.
"There's no reason to deny it. It's okay if you're thinking that way." dad continued.
"But dad, I'm not thinking of Kyoya that way. Let's just finish moving the furniture into the manor." I finally say. Dad and Ciel kept trying to make me blush by saying I kept thinking of Kyoya, but that wasn't true. I swear sometimes I'm not actually my dad's son, but I guess beggars can't be choosers.
*Time skip to this evening*
"Ciel and Vincent, your dad and I have important news to tell you?" Helena tells Ciel and I in a questioning manner. The way her tone of voice made me interested in what she was planning to say. I looked over to Ciel and saw he had the same expression. It's really interesting to see that Ciel actually wants to hear what Helena has to say because most of the time he's only listened to dad and myself.
"In three months Helena and I are planning to get married. Also boys, I was wondering which one of you would like to be my best man?" dad stated and asked. I was shocked to hear the dad was already willing to get married after the whole situation with Veronica, but it's his decision not mine.
"Isn't it a bit soon to ask us that dad. After all Ciel and I still have to get used to going to a new academy." I spoke up.
"I know it may be a bit soon, but I would rather have one or both of my sons to be my best men. You're the only two I deeply care to see at the wedding." dad continued.
"Dad can you give us sometime?" Ciel chimed in.
"Sure thing. I hope you both consider it." dad said before excusing himself from the dining table. Helena excused herself as well and went after dad.
"Vinc, I think you should be dad's best man. After all you're the one he's probably going to give the family business to." Ciel spoke after a bit of silence.
"Ciel you have to realise that dad owns two companies. You're able to inherit on as well. Actually as your birthright you should be getting the Funtom company, while I get Michaelis Industries. Little brother there's no need for you to worry about not getting one of the family business because dad has two. He's going to choose us the get the companies okay?" I tell him.
"Okay, you're right Vinc. I don't know why I was worried. I guess it was just that having you as a big brother made me worried. After all you're the perfect son dad has." Ciel continued.
"Don't talk like that. I'm not dad's perfect son. I've flaws just like everyone, Ciel. Others just refuse to see them. Before dad married Veronica, I was never shy and self-conscious, but once they got married I became a shy, anti-social, and self-conscious child. So please do me a favour Ciel and don't ever think or talk that way."
"I promise I won't think that way." I'm glad I had made Ciel realise that everyone has flaws, if only I could say the same for me. Every-time I'm in a crowd, I feel like I'm being judge and having every flaw being pointed out. I guess if I'm able to make my brother see that everyone has flaws then I can do the same for me, but I never seem to get that my head.
As the sunset even more I looked to my right and saw that Ciel had fallen asleep in his chair. It was best that I carry him upstairs to his room and get myself prepared for tomorrow. As I carried Ciel toward his room I heard him mumbling stuff in his sleep.
"N-no stay a-away from m-me. Y-you stay a-away." Ciel mumbled in his sleep. What was he on about? Lately he's been mumbling in his sleep more often than not. I neared the entrance of his room and he just started to cling to me like life depended on it.
"N-no Vinc d-don't let m-me go. P-please." Ciel pleaded. I felt heartbroken hearing him like this. The last time I had ever heard him speak in this tone of voice was when he awoke from a nightmare.
"Shush. Everything's okay, Ciel." I tell him in a soothing way.
"D-don't leave m-me in m-my room a-alone, p-please." he pleaded me. I finally sighed in defeat. I walked to my room and placed him on my bed. The moment Ciel felt that he wasn't in his room be let go of me and curled up under my bed covers.
"Vinc, can you stay with me." Ciel asked.
"Sure thing, Ciel. After all I'm here for you." I tell him after I put him in his sleepwear, which is my dress shirt. Sure the shirt is a bit too big for him, but he loves sleeping in them. As I was making my way to make the cot for me to sleep on the ground, Ciel grabbed ahold of my shirt and looked at me innocently.
"Don't let me sleep here alone." Ciel says while using his puppy eyes. Damn why the hell did he look so innocent. He will be my downfall, but oh well. He's my little brother who still has his innocence. I'll do whatever it takes to make sure he still will.
"*sighs* Fine, you win. Though you need to move over otherwise I'll wake up on the floor." I tell him. He moves over and gives me enough room to lay on the bed. As I get in bed, I feel Ciel snuggle close to me. I wouldn't blame him if he did this because when he was only a year old he and I shared a bed and he always snuggled close to me.
*Next day*
I heard my alarm go off and was confused on why it went off until I realised that I had school today. When I was fully awake, I looked to my right and saw that Ciel had clung to me during the night. He looked so adorable like this.
"Hey Ciel I have to get ready for school unlike you." I tell him as I poke his side.
"No don't do that. You know that tickles." Ciel says as he giggles in his sleep.
"I'll stop when I'm able to get up and get ready for school."
"Fine. Make sure to have fun at school. It made me sad when you always came home looking like you were crying."
"Don't worry. I'll be fine. It's a new school, so it's a new start." I tell him as I finished getting ready and headed outside to the family limo. "Bye dad and Helena. See you both and Ciel after I get out of school." I call out to them.
"Bye Vincent. Have a good day at school." dad and Helena call back. With that being the final thing said between all of us, I headed outside to where Jake was waiting for me.
"Thanks for waiting, Jake." I thank him.
"It wasn't any trouble, Master Vincent." Jake responded. Once Jake got into the driver's seat of the limo, he started the limo and drove away from the manor toward Ouran Academy.
