Vincent's POV
Once I had left Music Room 3, I had realised that I left my bag behind. I feel like a complete idiot for leaving it there. I just hope whoever finds my belongings will have the decency not to look through it. I started to feel like a complete and utter imbecile for starting to cry in-front of Kyoya. Why did I have to remember when my mother had passed away?
"Did you have a lovely day at school, Master Vincent?" Jake asked me the moment I stepped into my family's limo.
"It was lovely, Jake. Thank you for asking. Has anything new happened at the manor while I was at school?" I stated then asked.
"Actually sir, your brother, Master Ciel had requested to start attending the academy tomorrow. He said that it felt lonely being home alone without you or Master Sebastian and Lady Helena." Jake informs me while he drives the limo home.
"That's very interesting to know. Also, Jake if all possible will you make sure that we're to expect some guest at the manor tomorrow?" I ask him.
"Certainly, young master." As the drive to the manor progressed, I had decided to text all of the host club members about a gathering dad and Helena are hosting. It was appropriate that I invited them over, otherwise it would seem that I was being rude.
'To Tamaki: Boss, my family is hosting a gathering and I thought it would be a fantastic idea if the host club and yourself would show up.' I texted to Tamaki. I was slightly hoping that he would say yes, even though I knew that dad would invite the Suoh's along with everyone else he knows.
'From Tamaki: That's an amazing idea Vincent. I'll inform the others about it tomorrow.' He texted back. It seems like tomorrow will be a slightly stressful day, but I hope it won't be as stressful as today. As Jake nears the manor I start to feel a bit anxious because I hope dad doesn't tell me some unexpected news involving the gathering.
Once Jake had made it to the manor, I saw dad, Ciel, and Helena waiting for my arrival outside. I was happy that dad's job doesn't cause him to come home late. This reminds me of when Mom was still alive and her and myself would wait outside until he came home.
"Vincent!" I heard Ciel call out as I exited the limo. Before for I knew what was happening, I was tackled to the ground by him. It's adorable every-time he reacts this way.
"Hey Ciel. How was your day being home?" I asked after he got up.
"It was boring without you here. Oh, oh, did Jake tell you that I want to start going to the academy tomorrow?"
"Yeah he did." I could tell that Ciel was excited about attending the academy. He's always so energetic about this sort of thing. It's absolutely adorable and he knows it as well, while makes it even more adorable than before.
"Hey Vinc, why don't we head inside. That would make it easier to tell us about your day." dad said after the conversation between Ciel and I finished.
As we walked inside, dad was talking about the gathering he'll be hosting for all of his coworkers. I wasn't surprised by this because dad always had some sort of event to gain more information about the people he's working for and working alongside. It seemed that dad even invite the families of the host club, but that would be expected since dad likes to meet as many new people as he can.
"So, Vincent how was your day?" Helena ask the moment we reached the dining room.
"It was interesting, especially being able to meet the members of the host club." I responded.
"That's good. I'm glad that you're coming out of your shell of seclusion." she continued. Our conversation carried on for at least another 5-6 minutes, until dad asked me if I've developed any love interest at the academy.
"Vincent, has anyone at the academy caught your eye yet, after all in a few days you're going to have to have a fiancé." dad spoke.
"Dad, don't you think I'm a bit too young to get engaged to someone I hardly know." I stated.
"That may be very true, but in due time you're going to be head of the Michaelis Industries. I just stating in due time you're going to need to wed. And if this makes your situation a bit better, It doesn't matter what gender they are." dad tells me. I'm relieved that he wasn't going to make me marry a girl because one of the reason why Veronica always hurt me was because I was gay. I'm glad dad is accepting that fact.
"Thanks dad, but I have managed to develope some interest toward someone."
"Who might that be?"
"Umm well you did meet him yesterday. And um he's also in charge of maintaining the club's financial issues." I stated nervously.
"Ah I see. You've got a crush on Kyoya Ootori, don't you?" dad says in a teasing manner.
"Y-yeah, is t-that a b-bad thing?" I stammered out.
"Not at all, Vinc. I'm glad he's the one you've opened up to. He seems like a really nice boy."
"Thanks for understanding dad. You're the best."
"No problem son. Well now you and Ciel need to head to sleep, after all you both have school tomorrow." dad said once he excused himself and Helena from the dining room. When dad and left to their room I saw that Ciel had fallen asleep at the table. What does he do all day that tires him out so easily?
"Hey Ciel, wake up. You've fallen asleep again." I say and shake him, but he's still sleeping. I kept shaking him until I sighed in defeat and carried him toward his room. Once I was five feet away from his room he starts to mumble.
"N-no l-leave m-me a-alone. Y-you c-can't h-hurt m-my b-brother. Leave V-Vincent alone." Ciel mumbles and shifts in his sleep. It's strange to see and hear him this way. It isn't normal of him to be this way.
"Shush, shush. Everything is okay, Ciel. No one will harm you." I tried to calm him. It works, but when I got closer to his room he started to mumble. That's when I decided to let Ciel and I share a room. When I entered my room I placed Ciel down and he just clinged to me like his life depended on it. This made my little brother look more innocent than usual.
"Vinc, is that you?" Ciel cried out softly. I was shock to hear him scared. I wasn't used to seeing him act this way. I'm starting to get worried about him.
"Hey Little Bunny, what's making you so scared?" I asked with concern.
"W-well after d-dad and V-Veronica got d-divorce I s-started to h-have n-nightmare of h-her t-torturing you. A-and I w-was f-forced to w-watch." he told me then bursted out crying. This is more sever than I thought.
"We have to tell dad about your nightmares, Little Bunny."
"N-no. W-what if I h-have n-nightmares of V-Veronica k-killing dad?"
"That won't happen because I'm here to protect you. I've always have been. Now let's get to sleep. We've got school tomorrow." This was the final thing to told him before helping him into one of my many dress shirts and then going to sleep. I'm starting to wonder if Veronica would actually do that, but that's for another day to think of.
