FADE INTO YOU - MAZZY STAR

When Alana had opened her eyes, she was greeted with a blaring white light. At first she thought she was dead, but when she heard the eerie beeps of her heartbeat from a machine, she realised it was much worse.

She was in a hospital.

Her eyebrows furrowed in distress as she tried to adjust to the light around her, pushing herself up a bit on the hospital bed. She winced as she did so, looking down at her hand to see it had been bandaged up. Luckily for her, they hadn't put her in a hospital gown.

She took in her surroundings, looking next to her to see her dad asleep, snoring loudly in a chair beside her. She laughed slightly at him, causing him to stir in his sleep. When he opened his eyes, they widened in relief at the sight of his daughter awake and safe, bringing her into a bone crushing hug.

"Oh sweetheart I was so worried." He stressed as he pulled her closer into the hug, if that was even possible. She cringed slightly from discomfort, allowing him to relax slightly and look over to her, brushing the hair out of her face.

"You fainted from blood loss, you cut your hand pretty deep kid." He told her, sighing as he let go of her fully. She sighed in response, knowing he was clearly overreacting from a slightly small thing, the most she would need would have been stitches. Alana quickly remembered where her dad had been previously, shooting up from her bed to look over to him.

"Did you find him? Did you find Will?" She asked, hope laced in her voice as she looked over to him. He smiled at her, giving her a knowing nod, causing her to get up off the bed and run out of the room.

"Hey! Slow down ok! Doctors said take it slow." Hopper told the girl, causing her to groan in annoyance.

"Where is he?" She asked him, growing more and more agitated as she waited. Hopper sighed, knowing the girl was too independent to listen and began leading her to the Byers boy.

When Hopper stopped at a room she swiftly swung the door open, her eyes meeting with the little boy she had yearned to see with a big smile on his face.

"Alana!" He cheered, sitting up slightly in excitement. She gasped in response, running over to him to bring him into the tightest hug, letting out a sigh of happiness.

"Im so happy your ok little man. You have no idea what these past weeks were like." She told him, rubbing his hair comfortingly to remind herself he was really there. He was really alive.

"I missed you." He told her, allowing her to step away from the hug and smile at him, her face uncontrollably gleaming with joy. "I missed you too Will the Wise." She told him, laughing slightly at the nickname.

Jonathan had been sitting on a chair, patiently watching the twos reunion before standing up himself and bringing Alana into a hug.

"Thank god your alright." He sighed into her shoulder. Alana just laughed in agreement.

"Can't get rid of me that quick Johnny boy." She told him, pulling away from the hug to catch a breath.

"Can you tell the boys they can say hello to Will now? Oh, And Steve and Nancy are waiting for you in the reception. You should go see them. Steve was like, freaking out." He told the girl, causing her to furrow her eyebrows in confusion.
