Although Alana had entered the party with Eddie, it seemed that she had managed to lose him in the space of two minutes. She had found herself in the kitchen as always, drinking whatever spirit that was on the table to calm her nerves.

She hadn't seen any of her friends yet, all of them were either somewhere hidden in the house or not there at all. This was no help to her, leaving her stranded by herself with music uncomfortably blasting in her ears.

Her loneliness was soon interrupted by a hand on her shoulder, causing her to turn around and be met with none other than Billy Hargrove.

"Would you look who it is." Alana huffed, false irritation in her voice.

"Don't act like you weren't wishing I was here sweetheart." He smirked, looking her up and down with the most intense eyes the girl had ever seen.

"I'd rather wish for a man with a bit more respect." She simply retorted, noticing Billys eyes constantly glancing lower. Alana clicked her fingers in his face, before pointing towards her eyes, informing him she had caught onto his stares.

"Eyes up here." Alana scoffed, earning a small laugh from Billy.

"My bad, my bad." He put his hands up in defense, leaving Alana to roll her eyes.

"So where are all your buddies tonight?" He asked the girl, moving slightly closer towards her.

"Honestly, I have no idea." She huffed, leaning over the kitchen counter. She had allowed herself to grow more interest in the conversation with her and the boy beside her, knowing he was most likely the most entertaining boy she could talk to here.

"Gives you more time to talk to me then right? How about a shot? Get the conversation going a bit more." He asked her, leaning his head down so she could hear her over the blasting music.

"Hargrove, you read my mind." She laughed, grabbing the cups off of the table and placing it down in front of the two. Billy had poured them a total of four shots which they quickly downed, wasting no time to pour some mixer into Alana's cup to wash down the spirit that was burning her throat.

"God that makes me feel awful." Alana groaned, cleansing her mouth with some lemonade she found on the table.

"Its not too bad." Billy retorted, having no interest in drinking anything to help wash down the taste.

"How can you feel fine after that? I mean, I drink a lot but shots still get to me." Alana scoffed, looking over to the boy in disbelief.

"I guess I'm just a better party animal then you Alana." He laughed, looking over to the girls disgusted face.

"Whatever Hargrove. I could still drink you under the table any day." She laughed, looking around the room of crowded people. Suddenly, her eyes locked with last person she wanted to see. He clearly saw her too, lifting up his sunglasses onto his head in disbelief. A slight scowl grew over his face as he looked over to the person standing next to her, making her grin slightly.

"Harrington huh?" Billy called from next to her, looking between the two.

"Huh? Oh no. No no no. Your out of your mind." She laughed awkwardly, attempting to hide her embarrassment of being caught staring.
