INSIDE OUT - DUSTER

Waking up to a loud bang on a door, Alana shot up. The effects of last night instantly rushed straight to her head as she noticed just how dry her mouth was.

"Jonathan your gonna be late!" Joyce shouted from outside his room, making Alana squint slightly from the increase of aching she felt in her head. Jonathan groaned in response, rolling himself over until he fell off the bed, which resulted in a louder groan than before.

Alana giggled lightly, standing herself up and preparing herself to walk out of the room. Slowly creaking the door open, she made her way towards the kitchen to see Joyce scurrying to make breakfast, whilst also trying to wake up her kids so they would make it to school on time.

"Hey Joyce." Alana smiled, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek before grabbing the frying pan to finish cooking the scrambled eggs Joyce had left half-made.

"Oh hey Alana." Joyce smiled, quickly running to Will's room to get him up. Alana quickly finished off the eggs, grabbing the other pan to place the already cooked bacon on the three plates Joyce had placed for the three Byers.

Jonathan rubbed his eyes as he entered the kitchen, quickly sitting down on a chair and eating the food placed down.

"Hey Jonny is it alright if I borrow some more clothes for school? I really don't have the energy to go back to mine and change." Alana asked quickly, looking over to Jonathan hopefully.

"Of course Alana." Jonathan replied, mouth stuffed with food. Alana cringed slightly at the boys manners, laughing at his actions. "Thank you!" She smiled, kissing the boy on the forehead and running to the Byers phone to call her dad and tell him she will be going straight to school.

After the quick phone call, Alana rushed into Jonathans room to steal her favourite top of his, pairing it with his much loved dark blue denim jacket and blue jeans that were clearly too big for her. She quickly grabbed her belt from last night, tightening it with the jeans to make sure it wouldn't fall down.

She smiled, looking over at the outfit she managed to make with her friends clothes. "Wow, you look better than me in my own clothes." Jonathan scoffed, falling onto his bed as he tried to go to sleep again.

"No, no! I can't be late to school again! Chop chop Byer boy!" She shook his shoulders, resulting in him groaning and pulling himself back off the bed to get into some clothes.

"Thank you." She laughed, reaching over his bed to play some mixtape already placed in the cassette player as she waited for Jonathan to get ready.
