A/N~ I hope you guys enjoy this first part. It might be slow to start but it'll get more interesting in the following chapters. Word Count~2083
{The Wheeler House. The whole group is there.)
As the group stands around in the empty house, they try to figure out what to do. The upside down is invading Hawkins. It seems like the beginning of the end. But there has to be a way to stop it, right? "We can't just give up, we can't. Everyone will die." Nancy says, as she looks around the room. "People have already died. We can't stop this. It isn't possible." Dustin says, as he looks around at everyone. Eddie was gone. Max can't be saved. How are a bunch of high schoolers supposed to stop an alternate dimension from taking over the town-the world.
As they all start arguing about whether or not they can do this, there is a knock at the door. "Who the hell is here? The town is empty and no one knows we're here." Steve says with an annoyed tone. "I'll go check." Nancy says as she walks over to the door. She opens the door and when she sees the person there, she smiles. "Oh my god! What are you doing here?" She says as she gives the girl a big hug. "Uh, well remember the thing I was worried about happening? Yeah, so that happened. So here I am." She says with slight chuckle. "Oh god. I'm so sorry. Here, come on in." She says as she motions for her to come in.
As they walk to the group, Nancy says, "Nothing to worry about just your sister." As they both join the group, everyone shares a confused look. Steve has an annoyed look. "You have a sister? Since when?" Robin asks, emphasizing her question. "Wow, glad to know you never talk about me. It would appear some things never change. I'm Elyse. Nice to meet you." She says with some sarcasm on the first part. "That's not-that doesn't matter. What are you doing here? The town was evacuated." Steve says harshly. "I could ask you the same thing. Why are you in an empty house in a completely evacuated town?" She says, which gets a small laugh from Robin. "She does have a point, dingus." Robin says, while looking over at Elyse with a small smile. "But, seriously, what the hell is going on? Why are you guys in an empty house in a completely evacuated town?" She says, with a more serious tone this time. 'Nope. No. You are not getting involved in this shit. Nope." Steve says with a harsh tone to his voice. Elyse flinches at the harshness. "Well, I either stay here or try to find another place to live because mom and dad are not an option." Elyse says as she glances at Nancy. "Don't listen to him. You can stay here. It's fine. And maybe it'll be good to have someone else here to help." Nancy says as she looks at Elyse then Steve. "No! She is not getting involved in this. I'm not letting her die like Eddie." When Steve says Eddie's name, Elyse's face goes white. "Wait, Eddie's dead?" She says on the verge of tears. "Yeah, he uh died in the upsi-" Robin starts before getting cut off by Steve. "The earthquake. He died in the earthquake." He gives a glare to Robin.
"Wait, you knew Eddie? Like actually knew him?" Nancy says with some shock in her voice. "Uh, yeah. We had a few classes together. We were both outcasts so it just kind of made sense I guess." Elyse says as she glances at the floor. "So everyone actually believes it's just an earthquake? Not some supernatural thing in Hawkins again?" They all look at Elyse in shock. "Wait. What do you mean? You know it isn't just an earthquake?" Steve says with concern. "Now I do. You really are an idiot sometimes." Elyse says with a smirk. "So, what actually happened then?" Elyse asks. Steve rolls his eyes. "Well, basically, there is a whole alternate version of our world called the upside down, which is controlled by the creature Vecna, and the upside down is now basically invading our world. To sum it up." Robin says. Steve glares at her and mouths really? to her before Elyse says something. "Alright then. What's the plan?" She says, looking around at everyone.
"Wait, you actually believe that? You don't think it sounds impossible or ridiculous?" Steve says in shock. He really didn't expect that she would believe it. "I mean, considering half of the sky is red, it kind of makes sense." They all look at her and then rush outside to look. "Well, shit." Robin says as they all stare at the sky in the distance. "That's new." Steve says as they all share a concerned look. "And again I ask, what's the plan?" Elyse says, before they all walk back into the house.
