Ronnie's POV

"We have just landed in the Riotro region." The pilot's voice spoke. "The crew and I all hope you enjoyed the long flight from Hoenn."

"Finally..." I stretched as I stood up from my seat. "Why does Hoenn have to be so far from everywhere?"

"Zaaaanng" Zangoose yawned.

We began walking off with the thick and long line of exhausted people. We were practically waddling our way out.

After what felt like ages, Zangoose and I finally got out of the plane and we started rushing to the other end of the airport to catch a taxi quickly.

The doors slowly spread apart as Zangoose and I zoomed through them and we began examining the area.

Luckily, after a quick moment, I saw a taxi driver waiting outside his car, waiting for someone that's looking for a ride.

"Excuse me," I walked up to him, "Are you waiting for anybody?"

"Not any specific person," he replied, "just anybody that needs a ride."

"Great! Then can you give me a ride somewhere?" I asked.

"Of course, just put your suitcase in the trunk and take a seat!"

After opening the trunk I heaved my suitcase into it and then slammed it shut.

"Where are you heading?" He asked as Zangoose and I took a seat.

"The Copperajah Hotel in Sapsand City." I said.

"Ok, we'll be there in 20 minutes."

"Thank you," I said as I stepped out of the car. "Have a nice day."

"You too." The driver said as I closed the door and he drove off.

I looked up at the huge building that was the hotel, imagining how many strong trainers could be on the bottom floor alone.

"And I have to compete against them..."

I walked into the hotel and saw a bunch of people around my age sitting around, and a line of them getting their rooms.

None of them caught my eye, but they all looked determined to make it in.

"Name and home region?" The lady asked as I reached the front of the line.

"Ronnie Hickson," I said. "Hoenn region."

"You're here for the entrance exams right?" She stopped typing.

"Yeah." I nodded.

"Alright here's the keys to your hotel room." She placed it on the desk. "The entrance exams start tomorrow at noon, they'll call you to a certain room an hour before."

"Zang... goose!" Zangoose struck a tree down with crush claw.
