Third Person POV

"I-I found it boss!" The grunt stopped typing. He was shaking since the boss was holding a gun to his head. On the computer screen was the data for Ronnie Hickson.

The school tracks data on what Pokémon you catch, since the Rotom phone is connected to the school, they'll be able to know the exact time something is caught.

"Ronnie Hickson, it says he caught Riolu the day the mission happened!" The grunt said.

"Hickson..." the boss said. "The school has a field trip to Alola in 2 weeks, we'll get them there."

"We're gonna have a whole operation just for a Riolu?" The grunt asked.

"Not exactly just for Riolu, I also have some unfinished business there."

Ronnie's POV

"Now class," Mr. Gav started. "If you haven't heard, you will be doing an essay as required by the English department. It'll be your only one for the year since most of you don't have English on your schedule."

An essay? I wonder what it's gonna be about.

"The main question is, what exactly are you here for?" Mr. Gav said. "Obviously, you're here so you can get a certificate to participate in the annual Riotro Tournament, but why are you doing this?"

Why? I'm obviously here for... a lot of things. I want to be a champion, and strong enough to stop disasters from happening to me and my loved ones.

"I'll give you the rest of class to work on it," Mr. Gav said.

I don't know about everyone else, but I know exactly what I'm here for.

Not some lousy revenge mission, that'll only drive people away from me.

"Hey," Dontre tapped on my shoulder. "What's your essay gonna be about?"

"It's uh, rather personal," I answered.

"Oh, alright then," Dontre said. "Also, I've been hearing Lauren call you 'Rocket' in the hallways, what's that about?"

"It's just a nickname she gave me," I said.

"Y'all got nicknames now?" Dontre smirked. "Ay man chill, it's only been a week."

"Can you shut up?"

After school, Lauren and I had planned to go to that diner.

I was both nervous and excited, it was the closest thing to a date I'd been on, maybe the closest I'll ever get.

After I put all my school stuff in my dorm I met Lauren outside of the school.

"You sure this place is any good?" Lauren asked.

"Yeah, Zangoose and Heliolisk ended up spending 50 dollars worth of donuts though..." I answered. "Never leaving those idiots alone again."

"I'm kinda jealous of that," Lauren said.

"Huh? What do you mean?" I asked.

"My Garchomp and Aggron rarely interact with each other, even when I try to get them to," Lauren said. "And don't even get me started on Samurott, she doesn't even like leaving her ball unless it's to battle."

"I never know you had a Samurott, what's she like?" I asked.

"She's always so serious, and she's very confident in her abilities," Lauren said, looking at the ground. "Of course, I still love her though."
