But with that said, I'd like to thank you all for reading. TBP has gone off to a hot start this month and is getting close to 1000 reads. Don't forget to vote and thank you once again 🙏🏽

Ronnie's POV

I yawned as I sat down on the bus.

Having no other option, Vitas sat down next to me.

There was a disgusted look on his face. I don't even know why he has a problem with me. He can't be that angered over a battle.

I guess I should ask.

"Yo, why do you have a problem with me?"

"I just don't like you." He coldly answered.

"It's gotta be deeper than that. You hating me without a reason is getting on my nerves." I said back.

"Ok. To start you embarrassed me in front of my older brother." He said.

"That was never my-"

"I'm not finished." He cut me off. "You don't know how it feels to try and compete with an older brother. Especially one that's considered the golden child of my family."

"You're right but it's no reason to hate me," I said. "It's immature."

"You just don't get it. It's like I'm invisible compared to him. Now I lose embarrassingly? While he's watching?!" He raised his voice a bit. "Now my brother probably doesn't think any better of me than my parents and it's your fault."

I stayed silent and looked out the window.

He has a lot to prove. Probably more than anybody else in the school.

I guess another rivalry is sparking. But it feels different from the others.

Instead of being fueled by friendship, it's fueled by hatred.

For the rest of the bus ride, we were silent. When we arrived at the airport we all got off and got our suitcases.

I looked around for my friends and I luckily found Lauren. She appeared to be looking for someone too.

"Sup Lauren," I walked up to her.

"Oh, I was looking for you." She said back. "Did you see anybody else yet?"

"Not yet," I shook my head. "I think we mostly got put on separate buses."

"Probably," Lauren kept looking around.

"Attention everyone!" Mr. Helios shouted. "Now that all the busses are here, we will be getting on the planes in half an hour or so. It'll be just about a 7-hour flight so get comfortable."

He then walked through the airport doors and we all followed behind him.

We got to the transit lounge and we instantly started boarding the plane.

Lauren and I picked a row toward the middle and we place our luggage in the overhead bin.

"You can get the window seat if you want," I said to her.

"Uh no thanks," she shook her head. "I'd rather not."

"Uh... why?" I asked.

"Don't worry about it just take the seat!" She said.

"Uh, ok. Your loss." I shrugged before sitting down. "You're scared of heights aren't you."

"No I'm not," Lauren blushed from embarrassment.
