Ronnie's POV

How strong is Keandre exactly? Could his battle with Lauren be a good measurement?

Was that just luck? Or was it just the fact that Lauren's Samurott is just stronger than Hawlucha?

"Getting distracted?" Mr. Krane tapped on my desk with his pen.

"Oh- uh- no," I said.

"Yeah right," he stepped away from my desk and continued with the class.

For the rest of the class, he continued going through the dances required to use Z-Moves.

I had already memorized the one for Firium Z, but I'm not sure why. I paid just as much attention to the others.

The bell then rang and everyone got out of their seats and started heading to their next class.

"Sup Rocket," Lauren walked up to me.

"I don't think I'll ever get used to you calling me that so casually," I said back. "But what's up?"

"Nothing I was just saying hi," Lauren said. "You think you can beat Keandre?"

"You can never be too sure," I said. "I was thinking about it during class, I don't know if you won just because Samurott is stronger than Hawlucha, or-"

"You're thinking about it too much," Lauren cut me off. "You're not gonna do very good if you're stressing yourself."

"Yeah you're right," I said back. "I'll see you there."

Lauren and I split up to get to our separate classes.

I know what needs to happen for me to win. In raw strength alone, Zangoose might have it over Absol.

But Absol also has speed on it, so I need to try my hardest to get a 2v1 to try and tire it out.

And if all goes wrong, I'll just have to count on Zangoose getting over the speed gap.

I sat in battle hall, not really doing anything at all.

"I just simply think his brother is not all that," said a familiar voice. "I think he's rather pathetic. Had a 2-1 lead after taking down the ace and still lost."

That sounds like...

I looked back and saw Braeden talking with a few other upperclassmen.

Is he talking about Vitas?

"You're only smack-talking Vitas cuz Aurelio isn't here," said Luke. "You know Aurelio can handle you."

"I'm not scared of anybody," Braeden said back. "I have the strength to back up my talk, you're nothing but talk."

Seems a little cocky, but he's right about having the strength. He's not considered one of the strongest in the school for no reason.

The bell finally rang and I quickly got up out of my seat and headed for the door.

"You," Braeden stopped me. "That was a good win against little Kirlin last week."
