Ronnie's POV

"Now that we're coming close to the end of this week, here's some more information about the project this weekend." Mr. Ramos said.

Oh right, I forgot about that.

"You and the person next to you will be going to Sandsap River and catching a Pokemon." Mr. Ramos explained. "Then on Monday you'll bring a small printed picture of your Pokemon, and pin it on that map of the river."

He pointed to the bulletin board with a big picture of Sandsap River.

"It's an easy grade. Nobody should fail this." Mr. Ramos said.

Someone then raised their hand.

"Yes, Keandre?"

"What if we don't like the person next to us." Said Keandre.

"What's wrong with Dicklan?" Mr. Ramos asked.

"I just feel like he'll hold me back." He answered.

"You're catching a Pokemon..." Mr. Ramos said. "In what way could he hold you back?"

The bell then rang and everybody got up from their seats and left the classroom.

"Just deal with it." Mr. Ramos said before dismissing everyone from the classroom.

After math, I have a class I haven't mentioned yet called "Battle Studies." The name is self-explanatory.

You learn about stuff related to battles that you don't really know on your own.

There are 3 levels or categories of this class.

Beginners, moderate, and advanced.

Returning students took a test before the school year to determine which category they're in.

Meanwhile, new students were automatically thrown into beginners.

Throughout the year, if you do well enough you can go up a level.

"Good morning." Our teacher named Mr. Krane greeted us as students began to walk into the class.

The classroom was built similarly to a battle hall classroom, except there were dummies that could come out of the battlefield floor.

Our teacher waited for more people to come in and sit down in their seats before he started to teach.

"Alrighty," Mr. Krane stood up from his desk. "Can anyone tell me what we learned yesterday?"

A blonde boy raised his hand. It was the guy Dontre battled the other day.

"Go ahead Vitas." Said Mr. Krane.

"STAB." He confidently said.

"Yes, good job. Pretty simple concept to understand," Mr. Krane said. "If a Pokemon shares a type with an attack, it'll do more damage than a Pokemon that doesn't. But now we'll start learning about something you should all at least know a little bit about."
