"Dang it!" I ran up the stairs. "I would forget the one thing I need to come outside with..."

I climbed over my bed and grabbed Zangoose's poke ball from my nightstand.

I then bolted out of my room and leaped down multiple steps until I tripped and fell at the bottom of the staircase.

"Be careful!" My mom exclaimed as she ran over to me. "You ok?"

"Yeah I'm fine, my head just hurts a bit." I groaned.

"Well alright," she sighed. "Have fun out there my little Rocketship."

"Alright mom!" I ran toward the door. "I'll see you later!"

I remember the exact details of what happened next. I notice purple, blue, and yellow cracks spread across the kitchen wall.

I came to a complete stop right before a dragon-shaped beam exploded threw the wall, completely destroying the kitchen.

My mom and I were both sent flying by the force of the explosion, and the whole downstairs area was clouded in smoke.

Since I landed on the couch, I luckily stayed conscious.

"Dammit, is he even here?!" A voice yelled as he searched through the area.

"Vix isn't here, what a shame." Another said. "Let's go."

"What're we gonna do with these two?" He replied.

"Leave them, it'll be our payback for now." He said. "But the kid... he could be trained into a great battler knowing his genetics. Sceptile get the child!"

Suddenly, a giant green reptilian creature bursted through the smoke and appeared in front of me.

Without thinking, I sprang up from the couch and ran out of the blown-out doorframe.

The beast had chased me right out the door.

I blitzed right past my friends as did the creatures.

"It's catching up to me!" I said in my head as I began to tear up.

As I ran further and further, I started to get closer to a tree, with a branch so high.

But instinctively, my left foot planted into the ground and I leaped up and just barely grabbed onto the branch.

Shocked, the creature came to a stop seeing how high I jumped. It couldn't even reach me.

"Come back Sceptile," its trainer said. "We don't need him that bad."

I continued to hold onto the branch for dear life until my friends ran up to the tree.

All their faces were racked with shocked expressions.

"Dude!" Jibril said. "You jumped high as heck! You took off like a... a Rocketship!"

"Rocketship..?" I said with tears rolling down my eyes. "My mom!"

I let go of the branch and landed perfectly on my feet.

I then took off back toward my house and ran inside.

When I looked inside I didn't see her at all until I noticed parts of the wall covered in blood.

"Mom!" I yelled as I ran over and threw the pieces of the roof off her.

A portion of her face was blown off, and she was burnt from the shoulder down.

I didn't even worry about how disgusting it looked, just on trying to wake up my mom.
