Ronnie's POV

After a quick training session with my team, I headed back to the hotel.

It would be a bit before my friends would wake up.

First down came Dontre.

"'Sup, you're up early." He said.

"I always am," I said back. "Actually, could I talk to you about something?"

"Uh, yeah what's up?" He sat down.

"Ok uhm... when were you going to tell the rest of us that you were dating Sariah?"

"How the hell did you find out about that?!" He said.

"I ain't tell y'all to make out in public," I said back. "Y'all freaked out."

"Aye don't worry you'll get some soon," he smirked.

"What that supposed to mean?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Lauren definitely wants you bro," he said. "Whenever you not around she talks about you a lot."

"Really? What does she say?" I asked.

"She likes how you're brave, smart, and strong." He said. "And she also likes your determination."

"Really?" I wanted to let out a big grin but held it in.

"Yeah, don't worry your time will come. Just don't rush it." He said.

"I don't think you're one to talk about rushing."

After a bit, more and more of my friends came down. All of them but Jen showed up.

We wasted no more time and started leaving for Verdant Cavern.

"Did you come up with a plan at all?" Declan asked.

"I don't need a plan. I did my research and it's commonly completed by new trainers ."

"Rio!" Riolu confidently smiled.

"If you say so." Declan shrugged.

"Man this is a far walk," Lauren said.

"We're only 5 minutes away," I told her.

"My legs hurt," she whined.

"You want me to carry you or something?" I said.

"I'll be fine." She sighed.

We kept walking up to Verdant Cavern.

We were getting really close.

"Rioh?!" Riolu jumped off my shoulder and started looking around.

"What's the matter?" I knelt.

"Rio..." he started focusing. "Oluh!"

Riolu fired off an aura sphere that exploded into a piece of rock.

"Dartriii!" A round Pokemon flew out of the smoke cloud. "Dartiii!"

It fired off a barrage of sharp feathers.

"Use aura sphere again!" I commanded.

"Rioooluh!" Riolu fired off an aura sphere.

The two attacks exploded into each other, covering the area in smoke.
