She laid her head on his chest, hearing his heart beat, smooth and even. His arm was around her, holding her close.
"Where have you been all my life?" he asked suddenly. "Like, I met you when you came to town a few months ago, now I'll never be able to get you outta my head."
She was quiet for a long moment, considering his question. "Probably just out of arm's reach."
"Not any more."
