Alisha doesn't talk, or even look at me. Her hand intertwined with mine feels utterly weird. Yet, I can't let go. I've been circling her hand with my thumb, and it seems like I'm on autopilot.
I've never actually held a person's hand before. Woman or man, never.
It just doesn't feel right holding someone's hand. Especially if they're not on the same title as you. Just like Detective Diaz.
She's not superior like me. Well, no one is, yeah?
Diaz made a small sound. I looked at her, noticing how she swayed side by side. There was no signal, so I couldn't fucking call anyone. And for some dumb reason: the emergency call button wasn't working.
What choice did I have? Jump up and down for someone to notice?
It's either that, or we wait for someone to notice that I'm nowhere to be fucking found. It's been more than thirty minutes, and I'm going to kill Kine if he doesn't get a fucking search group soon.
He should, really.
He owns the club. I'm meeting him upstairs. And I've been gone for thirty minutes when I told him I'd be up in a second. So he should be here soon.
Diaz yawned.
"You should sleep." I blurted.
I groaned internally. I need to stop making conversations with someone who doesn't want to fucking talk to me, and if I'm not wrong: she's a Detective.
She helps the good, and cuffs the bad.
Diaz grunted at my oh-so-friendly conversation. As if she's already showing the signs of not interested, she's definitely done with my annoying ass.
"Can't." One word. Definitely done with me.
"Hmm." I said. "Why not?"
She glanced at me, an annoyed look written all over her face. "I need to pee really bad, and you might kill me if I ever slept."
Understandable, though I do not agree with the last bit.
Another circle on her hand. Like a cycle. Ha! "I won't kill you, don't worry." I assured her.
She made a choking sound. "Sure."
"I'm really glad I'm stuck with you." I said with the side of sarcastic-ness. "No, really! I'd be anywhere right now but here I am... stuck with you."
She faked a laugh, the most fakest and slowest haha in the world. "Sure."
I clenched my jaw, making a fist with my hands.
"You're squeezing the life out of me, Montellia." I heard Diaz say. I looked at my hand that was supposed to be making circles around hers, it was in a fist.
I let go of her hand. "Deserved."
She stood up quickly, a hand on her hip while her eyes looked like knives ready to rip me apart. I studied her face, and her body.
