The fun lasted after dinner

The fun lasted after dinner. Alsace nowhere to be seen. It's been two days after our Mexico trip. And yes, no matter what I do, Alsace just seemed to stop showing himself. As for Xaviereno, well... we ended up closing our past. Just friends now, I hope.

I loved Xavier, he was my first best friend. I'm just really glad that it's all over. I didn't know I needed that closure. For years, I figured that it was better to block all memories of him, or Mexico. But I realized that it made me feel different. Blocking memories didn't feel good.

Now I felt new.

I got back from work the day after we got home to Los Angeles. Alsace was not in our flight, but we still had the private plane. Abuela was annoyed about it, but I told her reasons why he wasn't going to go home with us.

I just needed Alsace.

Fuck, I don't even know why I need him.

It just happened.

I sighed. What a fucking vacation.

Jenna gave me a quick look before she walked away. Everyone was gossiping about me when I got back like I didn't know what was happening.

They've been talking about how I looked like shit, and who I went with. Since I don't think anyone really saw me in Mexico, I don't think they knew who I was with. Or, honestly, they probably do, they just don't have the guts to do anything about it.

I mean, it's not like they can do something about it. Seriously, Alsace stopped talking to me, so I guess we just ended ties, right?

Jenna came back, chewing a gum. I looked at her.

What's her problem?

"You know, there's a fight between New York and Los Angeles." she said. I raised a brow, I mean, sure? "Like, New York mob, and Los Angeles."

I don't understand what her issue is with the mob, or what she's trying to tell me. As far as I know, Alsace has it all handled. I mean, he does... right? There's no way he doesn't.

I bit my lip, tapping my pen on the table.

Was that the reason why he hasn't been talking to abuela, or me? Was that why I had no idea where the fuck he is. Not a call, or a text, just straight out gone. Was he in danger? Somewhere fucking far from here? Was he in the middle of a fight between the New York mob?

He can handle it.

He can, right..?

I mean, the only person who can is him. The man can lift what... a car?

Wait, no. He can't. That's impossible. That's just supernatural, and stupid. Why would he need to lift a car, anyways?

"You know you're tapping your pencil like crazy, right?"

My thoughts flew away, and my eyes found Jenna's judgmental look: a raised brow, and a hand on her hip. I shrugged her comment away.

"I'm not." I said and tossed my pencil on the table.
