Eliza's POV:
I took off my blindfold, and was immediately overwhelmed with colors. Blue, green, pink, red, purple.
I looked at my surroundings, we were right in front of the London Eye. I looked at it. I had never been to see it. It was huge. Unfortunately, we wouldn't get to see the view down from it, because there was a sign saying 'RESERVED' on the locked gate. Well actually, it was probably better, because otherwise... Anyways, I didn't quite understand why we were there... Then I noticed where all the colors were from. Games were set up all around the London Eye. It was like an amusement park.
Lou dragged me to a booth, handing me cotton candy. "I hope you like carnivals, because I sort of rented this one..." I stared at him, shocked, as he smirked and dragged me game to game. I had a blast. There was the usual 'knock down the ____', shoot the basketball, a few more, and my personal favorite, "You Ready To Dance? Hell Yeah!" I pretty sure that Lou made up that game, based on the name, and the way you played. You had to dance, like Just Dance, but whenever it was my turn, the moves went five times faster than when Lou went.
It was a blast. We ran from game to game, laughing. We lost at everything. Well except once. Lou won the dance game once (no surprise there, it went the pace of a snail when he played, though he was terrible. Quite funny to watch...), and won me a teddy bear. How cute! He even had a photographer follow us around to take pictures of us with my polaroid. (I learned this afterwards... Kinda creepy that I didn't notice a man following us the whole night..."
Lou stopped after we played the last game in the park, as the sun was about to set, punching a phone number into his iPhone, calling someone. FYI, don't call people when you're on a date. It's rude. I looked at him, stunned that he would do such a thing. He was normally much more gentleman-like. He ignored me.
"Lou, who are you-" I attempted, but he shoved his finger to my lips, silencing me.
"Yes hello?.... Yes, we're ready... Thanks, cya!"
He spoke into the phone, and shoved it into his pocket. Rude! Silencing me AND not telling me anything about the date AND talking on the phone. Wait. Why did he say 'We're ready'?...
We stood in silence as we waited for.... Well I don't know what we were waiting for.... I tried to ask multiple times what we were doing only to be silenced again. Eventually I just gave up.
After a few minutes, a man appeared, ushering us into a car on the London Eye.
"You rented this?!" I practically screamed. He smirked in answer. Wow, he was richer than I thought....
Then it set in that we were actually rising up. We rose higher and higher, as I counted my breaths, trying to match them with Lou's.
I felt Lou shift his eyes on me, the concern rushing over me as he looked at my bright red face.
"You're afraid of heights? Dammit! My whole date is ruined! Are you okay? We can get down. Why didn't you say anything?!" He cried.
He was so sweet. Renting this just for me, and then being willing just to throw all that money away because I was scared of heights... I couldn't do that to him. "I'm fine, it's fine... I can do this," I said, taking a deep breath....And then the car stopped at the top. WHAT THE HELL?!
I have to admit, I panicked... Just a bit... What happened?! What if the we were stuck up here forever?!!! I looked down to see the man in control walking away. Why was he walking away???!!!!!!
Let me give you a piece of advise. If you're afraid of heights, don't look down on the London Eye. Terrible idea. My eyes were glued to the ground, as I tried to hold in my scream. I was going to die. I was dying. Die, dying, dead, fall off and be killed.
