Chapter 22(c)

We headed upstairs and into our room.

''Shower with me Bella?''

I gulped and just nodded.We were already pretty much completely naked,so that didn't take long.

The water was warm and it kinda relaxed my tense body.

Jeez!Why was I so nervous all of a sudden?It was ,what? Five minutes ago that we had sex in the middle of  the forest? I was nervous for no reason.

Maybe it reminded me of a different era.Back when I was human and he made love to me for the first time.We had taken a quick swim in the worm waters of Isle Esmee...

''Which one do you prefer?'' Edward snapped me out of my thoughts.

''Huh?'' He chuckled.

''You are doing it again love...What was this time?''

''Uhm,Isle Esmee?'' I mumbled embarrassed that for once again he'd got me spacing out.

A genuin smile found its way to his lips,but he said nothing.Instead he just kept pointing at the rows of shampoos the shower was sporting.

''Strawberry'' I said without thinking twice.Old habits die hard I guess...

It was his time now to space out.

''What?'' I asked referring to the 'trip' he was having.

''Just thinking for the first night I stayed over at your house.You had just taken a bath and your hair smelled strawberry''

He smiled and leaned forward pressing a small kiss to my lips.

''My Bella...''He leaned in once again and I closed my eyes with anticipation.

The kiss never came,and I was left there pouting my lips like a complete idiot!

Instead,I was turned with my back to him,his hands on my hips,steadying me.

''Edward!'' I protested.

''Hush now hon.Nessie is waiting for us and you need to hurry up.''

He leaned forward and reached for the shampoo.

That of course caused him to press his whole body on mine.

Oh gosh.

I moaned as his 'buddie' pressed on my waist.

His hands were now on my head,rubbing circles trying to make foam.

He rinsed me then and in a second he was finished too.

I raised an eyebrow.

''Girly much?''

He looked confused.

''Edward you just washed with my shampoo!''

He looked at me for a sec and then face-palmed himself.

''Damn!If Emmet finds out I'm on for a lot of teasing''

I laughed and stepped out of the shower taking a towel to dry.

Did I mentioned I took 'The Only' towel,which meant leaving Edward in all his naked glory?

Yeah...

''Uhm,Bella?Will you stop eye-raping me please?''

I sighed and a smirk appeared on my lips.

''We're married remember?I can perv all I want!''

He laughed and pulled the towel away right after I put my underwear on.

''Hey!''

''You're semi decent Bella,It's my turn''

After about ten minutes we were both cleaned up,dressed and ready to go.

My throat was slightly starting to burn a little,but I could wait  at least another two days.

''I'm ready''Carlisle said as soon as we walked in the main house.

''I'll fetch the car,Bella wait in here'' And with that he was gone.

Was he bossing me around or what?

''BELLA!I'm so sorry!By the time I saw it was really late!'' Alice high-pitched voice came running down the stairs,with Alice herself following suit.

''What are you talking...Oh..Oh ''I trailed gathering what she must have seen.

''You saw?''

Have I ever mentioned how much I love being vampire right now?I would be boiling with my own blood from blushing furiously if I was human.

''Uh ha! Don't worry though,I won't tell Emmet''

''Won't tell me what?''Emmet and Rose came in from the living room.

''Nothing'' Alice said and I mouthed her a 'Thank you'.

The roar of an engine told me Edward was waiting outside.

''Come on,We have a truce to make'' Carlisle said and headed outside.

The ride to La Push passed in silent.Carlisle had said ''Shotgun'' Like a teenage little boy at the start of the trip,so I was left in the back seat.

I didn't mind though.I watched the trees and greenery go by and went back to the first day I came here.

I remember I was absolutely miserable.

It was unbelievable how much things changed from back then.

And all of it,just because I fell in  love...

A human girl,fell in love with a vampire.Huh!It was ironic almost.Not in a million years I would have thought any of this was real.

Vampires...

Werewolves...

Hybrids...

It was all real and all part of my new life.

What if I had stayed in Arizona?What if I never had come to Forks?What if I had never met Edward?What If I'd never became a vampire?

Being human,meant death.And I would have been ok with it.Cause that was how things were supposed to work.That was life.

Though...while I was human,I did experience pain,loss and even death.I was just a fragile girl,that didn't blend in.And you know why?

Because I was born to become a vampire.
