Chapter 31

Bella's P.O.V.

It's been three days.Three days of not knowing.And that's what hurt the most.Jake is gone,but this time is not his choice.I still remember Seth's frantic call three days ago around midnight.He said Jake was gone and when we asked what he meant,he said that they were "talking" and all of a sudden Jke's mind went blank.

Dissapeared.

The dread that filled my veins that exact moments has yet no left me.Renesmee is breaking apart.I didn't know that their bond would be that strong,but I see it now...It's like half of her is dead.Like she's not whole again.And I can relate to that feeling with all my heart,even though I know that in my situation I knew Edward was safe.And that was the only thing that kept me going then.

Now though.It's different.We know nothing about what happened to him.Alice can't see either,the wolves had always been a blank spot to her,and like all of as it's killing her...Not knowing.Even Rose is worried sick. Rose!

"Momma" I hear a faint sound behind me and turn around whipping my cheeks as if I expected tears to be there.Of course they weren't any but I felt like I have been crying all day.Today we're supposed to leave and search once again the woods.And I knew that crying wasn't helping anyone.But still I felt like a had no control of my emotions.

My personal sun is gone.And for the first time since I became a vampire I feel cold.

"Don't cry Momma,  Dad said Jake is gonna be okay and that we'll find him"She said and I don't know if she's reassuring me or herself.I open my arms while nodding to give her an answer.

I don't trust my voice and I don't wanna lie to her.Edward must have said that to give Nessie hope.How fullish of him,but yet totally understandable...

Renesmee hugged me close.Her face hidden in my chest.I rocked her back and forth until her breathing became even.She wasn't asleep but definitely calmer than before.

I don't know how long we stayed like this but after what seemed like an hour Edward stepped into the room and mouthed "It's time" to me before going back to the leaving room where I could here the others talking in hushed voices.

"Ness baby,it's time for me to leave" I didn't want her away from me but we had no choice.It was hard enough to persuade Edward to go with them but that wasn't possible for Nes.

"Gramma will be with you the whole time and tomorrow you'll go over to Billy's and Sue will be there to take care of you and Lucaria" Yeah we weren't planning on getting back tomorrow.Sam said that Renesmee and Lucaria would be safe with Billy and Sue and a few of the younger pack members that will stay behind.

"Okay" Is all Renesmee say and a tear runs down her rosy cheek.I wip it away and kiss her forhead while standing up and heading to the leaving room.

"Good Bella is here.We may as well start"Carlisle says and reaches for Renesmme.After he kisses both her cheeks it's somebody else's turn to kiss her goodbye.Finally after Edward holds her for what seemed like five minutes he passes her to Esmee.

We're all aware that she's not a baby anymore but she's always a soft spot to everyone.

"Okay.Edward Bella and myself are heading where his scent disappears.Rose Emmet will head south of the trail and Quil will join you half-way there.Alice Jasper you will go along with Embry and Seth and you're gonna cross the borders with Canada if it's necessary.Sam Leah and a few others of the two packs will run along Washington's perimeter"

Everyone nodded.

All of us knew though that the Volturi had  to be involved somehow.But first we had to find a possible trail that will lead us to how or to who or to what happened to Jacob before we start pointing fingers.

After kissing Ness one last time I follow the others outside and we split up.

Edward takes my hand and after giving it a firm squeeze.

"Here we go"He sais.

"Here we go"I repeat and start running.
