Chapter 17

Edward's arms were instantly around me and I felt a teeny tiny bit better.

''Do you want me to come with you?If I knew what they were thinking maybe we could find a way around it.''

''No,Edward.You're just going to make things worse by being there.The resemblance is striking and I don't think that Ange or Jess are blind or stupid''

He only nodded and with a peck on my lips he let me go.

I waved at my family,Lucaria and Jake and they waved back,giving me encouraging smiles and 'Good Luck's.

Apart from Jake who seemed totally oblivious while he stuffed his face with an enormous sandwich Esmee must had made for him.

Why on earth he of all people seemed so calm?Especially when the object of his affection could be in trouble?

''Jake are you ok?'' I couldn't help but ask...

''Why whouldn't I be?You all are freaking out over nothing!  Bells Charlie bought the adoption thing,and he is the important one,right?

So I believe that this friend of yours should shuck it!''

''Jacob!''I protested cause Lucaria was still in the room.I don't know where Jake had picked up this bad language of his,but I wasn't going to speak like that in front of Ness and Lucaria.

He raised his hands,

that where covered with some kind of sticky liquide from what he was eating,

like he surrended.

I shook my head and with another kiss to my husband I left the house.

I was in the Volvo once again,when Jake's words replayed themselves in my head.

I guess,..no scratch that..

I wish he is right!

I made my way to Dad's street,less that two minutes later and checking for witnesses I run to the door.

I still had my key,so I helped myself inside.

I took a deep breath and entered the living room where I could hear people talking.

Charlie was sitting on the couch.An empty beer can in his hand.

Sue was at the arm of the sofa right behind Charlie,but she was phasing away from me but to the two other people in the room.

Renesmee was sitting on the floor cross-legged and so was...

Jane.

I froze in place.The terror I felt creeping inside me paralysed me.

Jane?

Jane as the Volturi's Jane?

Jane as for the highlly dangerous and powerful vampire Jane?

Her coal black eyes,from thirst I guessed,left Renesmee's angelic face,

only to bore into my eyes.

I did not move an inch while we had our staring match,and I would have never in a gazillion years see what came next.

Jane broke into one heart-shuttering smile,lipped up from the floor and run with human speed to where I was rooted in pace.

I expected her to rip my head of in one strike but instead she crushed her small body to mine and gave me a huge bear hug.

''Bella'' she exclaimed in a fake sweet voice.

''I missed you so much''She when on, emphasising the 'so'.

I could not react.I just stood there.Limps frozen.Eyes glazed over and brain overworking.

What the hell?What was she doing?What was she doing Here?Why is she acting that way?Are the rest of the Volturi's guards in my house too.

And then it hit me.

Dad had said that my friend from school was here to see me,so Jane's plain blue Tshirt and ripped black jeans must be one part of her little act.

Otherwise,I'm not sure she would ever wear anything else but the black gown the Volturi always wore.

Everybody in the room seemed to still wait for my answer.

Jane gave me a knowing look that was only seen by me,before switching to a happy-go-lucky smile.

''Uhm,Hello.Nice to see you too...''I trailed of not knowing how to call her.

I guess she could have introduced herself as Dakota Fanning for all I knew.

''Bella?I did not know you had such a good friend in high school.I never heard you mentioning Jane here'' Dad said.

So she had stuck with the original,after all...

''Uhm,yeah,I guess we bonded the few last months of senior year,uhm,so that's probably why I never...mentioned her''

Yes,I am a horrid liar.Sue me.

Dad nodded and went back to watching  a football game on the TV.

''Momma,momma!'' Renesmee cried and jumped into my arms.

''Come here babe!''

As soon as she was safe in my arms. I turned to look around the room.

Jane was just a feet away from us and had a weird smug smile plastered on her pretty face.

I wish it was Angela or Jessica instead of her.

I would have take their questions and accusations and I would be grateful.

But,no no no.

It had to be Jane and that meant something big,

really,really big was ahead from us.

Only waiting to hit us when most powerful.

Sorry,I know the chapter is small but it's the middle of a school week so yeah!

And don't worry I wil update Friday too.

P.S The 'Dakota Fanning' part at the chapter was just something I added cause I find it hilarious.Don't get me wrong.(For those who don't know,Dakota F. is already playing Jane at the Twilight Saga movies).

One more thing:Please send me your ideas about the cast for Lucaria.

The best one and most fitting will be chosen and the person who sent it to me will earn a dedication!
