Chapter 24

Edward's P.O.V.

I was about to go look for Renesmee when I 'spotted' her mind right next to Bella's scent and Lucaria's thoughts.

I wanted to see what they were talking when I caught a glimpse to Bella's face through Nessie. 

And boy did she look troubled.

I quickened my pace and pretty soon I was beside her.She was holding Ness in one hand and Lucaria on the other.And from what I could gather from her gorgeous face is that she was completely lost in her own train of thoughts.

Renesmee must have sensed her mum's luck of coherence right then because she shifted in Bella's arms and holding out her little hand she touched my face,even if it wasn't really necessary, to 'show' me what happened while I was away.

Apparently Lucaria had thrown the 'Mom Bomb' to Bella who was still lost in deep thought by the way,her face slowly turning in a full-time scowl.

''Umhh,Ness why don't you and Lucaria go to help Emily set the fire and get the food ready,until I talk to your mum?Then we will give you an answer.''

''Ok,Daddy!Lucaria come on''She hopped off of Bella and with a still sad Lucaria they went outside.

I turned to Bella only to see her in the exact same position.

I closed the distance between us and wrapped my hands around her,kissing her collarbone.

''What am I supposed to do Edward?''She said in a small voice.

''Shhh,it's gonna be alright love.We'll figure it out''Clearly she didn't hear what I said because she went on in that same hushed voice.

''I want to do it,I really want to.She's an amazing child and all,but...but it's too much,you know?I'm only eighteen after all,vampire smampire,included.

And..and I'm confused!With Renesmee it was different.I knew I wanted her.I knew that dying for her was worth it,because Edward she's our child!

How could I not?But now...I don't know what to do...I don't wanna hurt her,but I'm scared Edward!Scared for her life,for Renesmee's life,for OUR lives.We know that the Volturi will keep looking and...and when they do find us,we will go down,and I'm not ready...not ready to lose you,just yet''

By that point she was crying without actual tears,but the image was highly disturbing....Her pain was mine too and I had to put an end to it.I flipped her over so she was facing me before hiding her still beautiful face in my chest.

''Bella listen to me. I won't. Let. That. Happen.Do you hear me?Everything is going to be alright and I believe it.The Volturi can't get to us again.We have a plan,so both Lucaria and our family will be perfectly safe.

No need to be apart,no need to lose anybody because Bella?You think that the only one that's gonna lose something is you,but I Myself will lose Everything!

Coz Bella,you are the prize,My prize.Not some middle-aged lucky woman that won the lottery by getting me,as you think yourself as.No,that's not it.I won.

I put you trough hell,trough pain and loss but not this time.I'm going to make things right.From now on I don't want you to feel afraid of anything because this time,I really got your back!''

Her eyes were on me the entire time I was talking,and I could see the sadness the worry and stress gradually dissapearing ,hope taking their place.

''I love you''Was all she said,but it was enough.My heart was aching as I leaned down and pressed my lips to her perfect ad full ones.

''I loved you,too''I whispered in between kisses.''Never foget that''

And that was the time we took our kiss to the next level ,there and then in the middle of  Black's living-room...
