Chapter 33

Jacob's P.O.V.

I had just come back from school,and was really hungry.That I could remember,I am always hungry for no apparent reason.Hope Dad has made something to eat.I unlocked the small door and run inside the house,towards the kitchen wheer I could smell something great.Was it fish again?

Sure enough,once I stepped inside our tiny kitchen Dad was there with Hurry Clearwater,one of his best friends,making fish-fried.

"Hey Son"Dad greeted me and I gave him a tight smile."Why do you make all that food,Hurry?"I know it was something so unlike me to ask,but hey that guy had cooked for at least ten people.

"Oh Jake,hey boy.Charlie Swan,a friend of your dad's and mine ,is coming over for diner with his daughter"Hurry said and I frowned.Daughter?

"Yeah I know Charlie he's the cop right?Does he have a daughter?I've never seen her around.How old is she?"

"That's cause she doesn't live here.She's coming from Florida to visit for a couple if weeks,and she'd probably about two years older that you,isn't she Billy?'"

"Yeah,she must be around nine.Whoa,that kid grew up.I haven't seen her since she was a baby"My dad went on,but I had lost interest by now.She,whatever her name is,was a girl and she'll probably play with my sisters.I'd better go find Quil,we had found a perfectt hiding spot at the woods.We were planing to scare Embry.

"I have to g-" I was cut off by the sound of heavy pounding at the door. "That must be them"Hurry said."Go get the door Jake"Dad said and I run to the door pulling it open.

"Hey Jacob.Are you a foot taller or what?"Charlie said and ruffled my long hair on his way in.He stopped though and turned around."Bella,you coming honey?"He said to someone who was hiding behind him.

"Oh Jake I almost forgot,this is Isabella"

"Dad!Just Bella"A hushed gentle voice hissed from behind him and then came to view.

It was a girl.A very pretty girl.Her skin was really white and her brown hair reached her shoulders.When she lifted her gaze to me,I was met with a pair of big chocolate-brown,shy eyes.

I smiled at her and she blushed,lowering her head.I didn't know what was the deal about her,but I had the feeling that I had to be nice to her,otherwise she might  break or something.Woah the guys are going to make so much fun about me...

"Charlie,get in here'Dad shouted from the kitchen ,so that Bella and I were left alone at the living room.

"So,do you want to ride with the bikes?It did rain yesterday and the mud will be fun!"I said not knowing what else I was supposed to do.

She cringed though when I mentioned the rain and shook her head."Rained,huh?you don't tell"She said and all of a sudden I thought I was talking to an adult.Her way of talking.it was like grown up people.Weird...

"Or I could call my sisters to play with you"

"No I don't mind.let;s go"She finally said shyly.

We crossed the garage and after picking up two bikes we headed to the woods,not deep though,I could clearly see the house.

"Race til that fallen tree?"I asked Bella with excitement and she nodded reluctantly.

"On three.One.... Two....THREE!"I screeched and pedaled furiously to the fallen log.Somewhere in the middle though I heard a feminine scream and turned around.Bella was at the ground holding her knee with her bike upside down besides her.

"Bella!! Are you okay?"

"yes,I just fell.I'm not really good at this,sports are not really my thing."She said and left out a forced laugh.Was she trying to play it brave?Her bloody knee was clearly hurting her.

"Come on,lean on me,I'll help you up"I put her frail arm over my shoulder and lift her to her good foot.

"Thank you Jacob"She said,turning those enormous pretty eyes on  me,

"Anytime Bella,Anytime.."

"JAKE!Jacob wake up,we don't have time.Oh God,is he breathing Edward?"

Edward?I though.why did that name sound familiar?I cracked open one eye,but in front of me,instead of a nine-year-old clumsy pretty girl was standing an unbelievably beautiful young woman.Bella.My Bella.My best friend.

HELLO people?Did you miss me?LOL. I'm finally done with my finals so from now on I will update every week.Yay to me.
