Chapter Fourteen

Third Person's Point of View

Target in sight...

Shoot-

Everything stopped as a bullet left the gun, aiming directly at the reigning monarch's sister's love.

Haru turned around at the sound of a gunshot, but regretting his choice immediately as the single bullet pierced through his chest, and directly to his heart.

Steven and Ally's eyes turned wide, as all the students turned around to gaze at the horrific scene.

Haru's cold, lifeless body met the concrete floor, his eyes hollow and empty, yet wide and shock with a speck, just a tiny speck of fear in them.

"T-This can't be real."
"I don't want to die so early."

Blood splashed out on the floor, his hands shaking as they rested harshly on the concrete ground, his life flashing in front of his eyes.

His life?

I looked up and saw a young looking woman with crystal blue eyes and wavy light brown hair reaching up to her waist.

His lifeline...

Steven's hand was already in front of Ally, protecting her from seemingly no danger at all. No danger because, even for a single person, time had stopped.

"Is this really the end?"

~~~
Dolores sat on her bed, turning the page to a cliche romance novel as a faint smile graced her lips.
"A story for the ages, indeed."
"A story that will rule the pages of history."
Dolores was interrupted by one of her men who came running in, forgetting to knock in the process.
"Cual es el significado de este?" Dolores asked, caught off guard as her guards had never even dared to look her in the eye without her permission, let alone enter her room without knocking.
[Translation: What is the meaning of this?]
"Forgive me, Young Mistress, but we've received news that Master Haru-"
"Que?" Dolores closed her book shut with a light thud as she sat up straight, her attention solely on the man who had taken Haru's name. "What about Haru?"
[Translation: What?]
"Master Haru has been shot in the heart by Maestro Denver." The man panted, not quite getting to take a breath as he immediately dashed behind his Mistress who didn't waste a time before rushing out the door, the book she was reading, dropped on the ground as a gust of air blew from the open window by the bed, flipping the pages to a specific one.
"Indeed, it was a love I wouldn't want to lose."
~~~

Haru was rushed in the hospital, his eyes long closed, alarming everyone around that he was gone.

"I'm sorry," The doctor shook his head. "He's long gone."

Steven sat on the bench, defeated.

"We were supposed to destroy him."
"You didn't pick the right fight, Denver."

"What do we do now?" Ally asked, taking a seat beside Steven. "Haru is over. It's all basically over. What is left to do anymore?"

The hospital door dinged open as a wild wolf came rushing in catching everyone's attention, followed by a few men, who quickly calmed her down, and took her to the room Haru was taken into, Steven's eyes followed them carefully.

"We take Dolores's rule down." Steven smirked at the idea.

"How?" Ally scrunched her nose in confusion. "I'm sure she's very powerful as she's in reign now."

"Not yet," Steven's eyes lingered outside Haru's hospital room. "Her brother is still in power, her coronation didn't take place yet."

"Coronation?" Ally sat up straight.

"Don't think that Haru's chapter is closed just yet, Black. Continue to keep a detailed description on everything he does, even if he's buried."

"That's not very fun-"

"Just do as I say." Steven snapped at Ally who flinched at the harshness of his tone, his voice similar to an animal growl and his eyes nearly red. Nearly.

Ally took her phone out and dialed a number, somehow not breaking eye contact with the now furious maestro.

"Yeah, Oliver."
"Meet me in the hospital."
"Yes, bring the girls as well."
"But leave Carrie out of it."
"She should not know that Haru died."

~~~
Dolores whimpered as she approached Haru's bed, where he lied lifeless.
"Young Mistress, we need to bury the body." One of the workers said, earning a loud roar from the woman as she immediately jumped on Haru's bed, standing in front of him like a protective barrier.
"F-Forgive me, sire, for I meant not to upset you." The worker tried to calm the situation down, as Dolores went towards Haru's head, working as a pillow for the corpse.
"Let's give her highness some privacy." Another worker whispered as everyone bowed before leaving, closing the door with a gentle thus just before Dolores completely broke down.
She clutched Haru close to her, sniffling into his neck as she continued to sob.
"This was supposed to forever."
"This was supposed to be our beginning."
There, behind the tree I was leaning on, was a boy, weeping like there's no tomorrow.
I tilted my head, admiring the man in front of me, as he tilted his head to copy my position.
He truly was a perfect beauty.
"Mine..."
She couldn't let this happen.
They were just beginning, they couldn't end now.
They couldn't, they simply couldn't.
'It didn't take much time.'
'Everything fell apart.'
