Chapter Fifteen

Third Person's Point of View

"We need to continue with the processions, Maestro." The doctor explained to Steven. "But Young Mistress hasn't moved from her spot in two days. What shall we do?"

"I'll talk to her," Steven sighed, entering the room where Dolores was, Haru's pale and dry body glued into her arms as if that's how its always been.

"Dolores?" He said, making her turn to face him, her eyes bloodshot, her once clean and collected nature nowhere in sight. "Can I have a word?"

Dolores hesitated, pulling Haru closer to herself, and nodding to the side of the bed, which Steven complied and sat on.

"I'm surprised you grew attached to him in such a small amount," Steven chuckled, in frail attempt of trying to lighten up the mood.

"You weren't any different during the time Sofia was lying in the same hospital, just a few floors away." She croaked. "I still remember what you said as you sobbed uncontrollably."

Steven paused as Dolores took that as a sign to continue.

"Our forever cannot end like this. Isn't that what you told her again and again?" Dolores questioned, Steven growing more and more angry by each word.

"Do not repeat that incident-"

"Why not? Is it because you don't want to reminded of her? Or because you and I both know that she'd be disappointed if she saw how your living now."

"The same goes for me and Haru." She continued. "I don't know when I started believing that there's nothing left for me than him. I guess that's the beauty of love, you grow attached over the smallest of times."

"How are you in the position of saying you love him?" Steven snapped back.

"I don't know, but truly, one thing is for sure. If I don't get him, I'll stop my time right here." Dolores sighed.

"At least have something to eat, Dolores." Steven urged.

"Why do you care? You just want to see me destroyed." She whimpered.

"I want to end your story, but the ending can only be interesting if there's some action in it." Steven huffed before standing up. "Give me something to have fun fighting with, I'll give you your happy ending where you and Haru are both in heaven."

Steven left the room, leaving Dolores with Haru, the only difference was that she was no longer weeping uncontrollably.

"Our forever cannot end like this."

He leaned against a window, looking out at the spot where Ally's red SUV was once parked.

"Do not repeat that incident-"

"Why not? Is it because you don't want to reminded of her? Or because you and I both know that she'd be disappointed if she saw how your living now."

'Because...'

"Forget me, mi amor."
"You have to continue living without me."

"Maestro Steven?" A doctor called Steven as she turned around, facing him. "What happened with Young Mistress? Is she ready to continue with the processions?"

"She..." He trailed off.

"If I don't get him, I'll stop my time right here."

"Let her be for sometime. She'll come around eventually."

'She have to move on eventually.'
'Just like us.'

"Am I to send some food to her?" One of the nurses who accompanied the doctor asked, making Steven turn to her for a second before redirecting his gaze out the window.

"You may, but do not force her to anything she doesn't want to do." He sighed as the doctor and nurses bowed to him, taking there leave.

"I'll get the final draft of Haru's information."
"Just wait here."

'Is it wrong of me to look for you in someone else, Sofia?'

"I hope you fall in love, mi amor. And I hope that love breaks you, so you know how my heart is suffering."

"Get yourself together, Steven."
"We need to take down Dolores, not pity her."

"I know, Saul." Steven sighed, eyeing the spot where Ally had her car parked once. "It is myself that I pity, I pity myself for not being able to accept her death."

"Why can't she move on like we were forced to?"

"Young Mistress, Maestro Steven has sent food for you." Two nurses entered the room, placing a few plates of soup, fruits, fried rice, and a tiny bottle of vitamin tablets. "You need nutrition, Milady."

The nurses decorated the food on a table nearby, before leaving the future monarch alone for some privacy.

Dolores stared at the food for a few seconds without any emotions.

"Young Mistress, Maestro Steven has sent food for you."

"Young Mistress, Maestro Denver has demanded you eat to your fullest."

"Doll, calm down."
"You're not thinking straight, right now."

"One of the Millers saw the Minister remove the breaks from the Alpha and Luna's car."
"Princess Dolores was at archery practice."
"Other than the maids and butlers, only Prince Denver was home."

"This is all your fault!"

"Young Master knew that his parents were in danger, he chose to stay quiet."
"The Princess should not know this."

"She will seek revenge from her brother if she finds out."

"The future Female Alpha's hands should not be stained in Miller's blood."

"This Minister has been sentenced to death."

Everybody stayed quiet, yet their silence spoke all that needed to be said.

The silence knew who was guilty.

The Princess knew the Minister removed the breaks long before the Prince, didn't she?

"Hermano will do something, fast."
"But the question is, who's fault is this?"

Dolores's eyes wandered back to Haru's lifeless body.

Shall we pay the God of death a visit?
