I would be texting Eros from my room only with the door closed when we talk about the escape plan. He found a really cute house for me and it's only a 15-minute walk from his and his parent's estate. He sent me photos and I fell in love right away. It had this cute cabin feel on the outside but the inside needed some work. He and his parents said they will pay for all that to get fixed. It will be a gift to me. I promised I will pay them back for the house slowly over time so dad isn't suspicious.
The house is small with 3 bedrooms, 2 and a half baths and even a basement. It was surrounded by trees and backed off the open ocean so it was a beautiful view. I was shocked to hear this place was never sold for 7 years. They say it's haunted. I laughed when Eros told me that with my past I don't care about ghosts, it's better than gangsters. I tell him that as his mom and I go back and forth about what colour I want the rooms and floors. His dad and I talk about tech stuff like fridge and stove.
I think some of the things they are keeping from me as if I bring some stuff up they avoid it. I filled Kai and Tylor on the plan hoping that they can join me in running off from dad. They said they will but a while after I do so it's less suspicious to dad. I would ask what they want their room to be like. I plan on turning the basement into my work studio for my fashion business. Dad was nice enough not forcing me to perform on stage until I felt ok to do so. Which was never since coming back.
I would just sit in my room working on projects or drawing up designs. Whenever Eros or his parents come over I'd give them bags saying their gifts for them. They knew it was stuff for them to bring to the house as I didn't want to leave everything here. Most of my fabrics are the stuff I pack into those big bags. I text them to just put the bags in the basement and I'll organize everything when I arrive. They live about 4 hours away from the city.
One day when I walked around the city I stopped at my bank to take out all my money. It wasn't hard as we transferred all my funds to Eros's family bank. They run restaurants and a bank business. His dad runs the banks and his mom runs the restaurants. I trust them so over the phone we transfer all the money over easily. I paid the person dealing with it a large amount to never tell my father about this transfer. They luckily agreed and took the money and we said our goodbyes.
Soon enough it was my birthday again, happy 22 years old. Dad, Kai, Tylor and I stayed in and ordered Chinese food for dinner. We all sit in the living room watching movies. I got a text a few days ago from Eros saying the house was ready to move in. I packed a bag with a change of clothes and a few other things for when I leave. I was leaving tonight. My car has the bags already in the trunk of my car waiting for me. I get up and make everyone a cup of hot apple cider.
In dad's mug, I put 2 sleeping pills so he'd black out so he won't wake up in the middle of me leaving. I bring dads and Tylor's mug first before leaving g for mine and Kai's mug. I sit down and tap my fingernails on my mug letting them know he has the pills. I made sure they fully dissolved before giving him the cider. We start to watch another movie when I spot dad struggling to stay awake.
"Getting tired dad?" I gently place my hand on his shoulder.
"Guess so, that cider really hit the spot," He said yawning.
Kai takes the mugs to wash them as Tylor and I help dad to his room. We get him into bed and I tuck him in. I kiss his forehead, "night dad I love you. See you in the morning."
We leave the room and close the door. The three of us went to my room so we can say our goodbyes for now. I start to cry as I'm gonna miss them so much since it will take a little while to get a new phone and a plan. Eros has their numbers so he will text them when I arrive in their town. Kai and Tylor go to their rooms as I sit in mine for a while longer till the time hits 12:30 am. I leave and head down the elevator going down to the main lobby. I walk out and go to leave.
"Where are you going, Sky?" Our front desk manager Andrew asked me.
"I can't sleep so I wanna take a 15 maybe 10-minute long drive around the city. I'll be right back." I wave by and go to my car.
