We were there for 2 hours looking at fish. She even got to pet and feed the stingrays. We also walked around the gift shop as she wanted to get Jaxon and Sandy a thank you gift. We walk around the city for a while before we make it to the movie theatre. I let her pick the movie and she goes with a monster movie so we go in and I get the tickets. Then we wait in line to get snacks, two drinks and a large popcorn.
We go there and of course, let her pick the seats. We got those nice reclining seats. The movie plays and she leans into me, I kinda jump looking over at her and I can feel her shaking. I wrap my arm around her and pull her close doing my best to warm her up. I didn't want her to be cold the entire movie. I lean in and place a kiss on top of her head.
'I can get fired at by guns no fear, deal with the most feared beings on the face of this damn planet no fear. BUT THIS SMALL 5'5 WOMAN makes me more anxious than those things. Am I really that pathetic or is this what real true love makes you feel like?'
The movie was great and she picked a good one. About 2 hours later we grab our things and head back to the car. Now our third and final stop for this date. When in the car I make her blindfold herself again as the location of this spot is a surprise. I drive off back in the direction of the mansion but go a little further driving up a steep hill. Not many know of this location. After driving for a little while longer I get there and park the car on the grass.
I tell her to stay in the car and keep her scarf over her face as I get everything ready. I had a big picnic planned as we watched the sunset over a pond. When all was set up I went to the car and helped her out. I take the scarf off from around her eyes and let her see the candlelight picnic.
"So what do you think?" I smile while hugging her from behind.
"I-it's beautiful Griffin, did you do all this yourself?" She said with a bit of shock.
"Well, some help with Sandy as I can't cook worth sh*t but she helped me make most of this." I take her hand, leading her to the blanket.
We sat down and dug into the meal, luckily the cooler kept everything cold. I would just look at her as we ate and seeing her enjoy all the food made me happy. When we finished eating we lay down on the grass hill looking at the sunset. I smile watching the sunset when I feel her lay next to me using my arm as a pillow. I thought my heart was gonna jump out of my chest. I see a smile on her face as she lays there and that brought another smile to my face.
I don't know how long we were there when I felt her roll over cuddling me closer to her. I look down seeing she was asleep, I gently shake to wake her but nothing. She was really out like a light. I get up and pick her up into my arms then walk to the car putting her in the seat. I use my jacket as a pillow for her to use. I got in and drove home, I held her hand the entire dive back. I park the car and get out, picking her up and walking to the door. I spotted Sandy and Jaxon walking back from their date night.
"Looks like you tired her out boss, so how was the date?" Jaxon said with a chuckle.
"Hee well, I loved it. I think she did too, as she even cuddled me while watching the sunset. Sandy, I'm gonna bring her to her room. Can you change her to some more appropriate clothes to sleep in?" I ask her while kicking my shoes off and walking to the stairs.
"Sure boss," She followed me to the third floor.
She got her door open for me so I can place her down on the bed before leaving for my room next door. I get changed into some joggers and walk over to her room seeing Sandy leave. I noticed her face seemed like she was scared or saw a ghost. She looked so pale so I went and grabbed her arms making her look at me.
"What's wrong, did something happen?" I asked her as I was very worried.
"I-I shouldn't say if she hasn't at this point told us. Then she should be the one to say it, not me." She leaves for her and Jaxon's room on the other side of mine.
I went into her room seeing she was still asleep. I walked over placing my hand on her head worried about what Sandy saw to make her scared. I walk around the bed and climb into the middle laying down on my side. I gently pull her over so as to not wake her up. I lean her back to my chest, one arm under her head and the other resting on her waist. I rest my head between her shoulder and head as I just listen to her gently breathe in and out letting it lull me to sleep.
"Goodnight sweetheart," I say and kiss her cheek before falling asleep myself.
