⚊ chapter six

The next morning I looked like crap after swimming all night with the girls and I didn't care really. I pulled on a sweatshirt and tied my hair up messily. Seafood breakfast was one of the things I'm glad to came here at least.

It almost made it worth being a maid of honor.

"Bring your vitamins with you", Jay had, of course, did not forget to remind before we get out of the room.

After picking up the small bottle of my vitamins, we walked for the elevator and stepped inside. I leaned back against him watching the numbers decreasing until floor two, to where we will have our breakfast.

5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Ding!

"Chowon is already there by the way on their table with the husband to be", Jay said to me before door slide opens for the two of us.

I smiled bitterly at his reminder and got out with him. We went directly to get a plate of food from the buffet, the whole dining hall is rented for all guests of the wedding. What a way to start the morning to see a creamy seafood dish for breakfast!

"Hey", someone scared me. I jumped, sending my giant crab leg up in the air. I see someone laughing at me.

"Don't scare me like that", I said, getting a sauce for the crab leg to my plate.

"Sorry", Solomon reached past me to get a peeled apples, "How'd you sleep?"

I raised an eyebrow, "Good. Why?", My eyes were then on my boyfriend who was doing a good job of acting like he wasn't listening.

Jay was now standing before the selection of drinks and is only a few steps away from me and this Solomon. Because I could read him like a book now, I knew he was trying to eavesdrop on my conversation with this guy.

Not that there was something to be jealous about.

Solomon got a look of panic and nervousness. He obviously was not expecting me to be this defensive early in the morning. "Can't I just be polite?"

"I'm sorry, Sol, I mean Solomon", I said to him and laughed at myself, "I slept fine. Thank you for asking"

He smiled and shook his head at me, "Are you the type of girl to be moody when she just woke up?"

I put a hand on my heart, "Why, thank you Solomon, I felt gracious at your compliment", I jutted my lip out.

From the corner of my eye, I could see Jay is smiling to himself as he could for sure hear the sarcasm dripping from my voice. I was supposed to be friendly with his relative, right?

When he went to stop by my side with Solomon looking at him in surprise, I put a hand on his biceps and gave it a squeeze. That thing was rock hard, I love it that way and that he knew.

"Uh, why don't the two of you sit with us in our table?", Solomon resumed being an awkward before Jay and I.

It was kind of cute. I mean, it's always kind of flattering to see another guy is experiencing a major crush on me at the moment.

At least that's how I get it. I'm just not interested with my man right here.

Park Jay himself knew very well how he just need to give me one stare of his or that adorable eye smile of his, which I was once said to him was such a priceless sight and what?

I would be all over for him.

"With the groom and bride? Sorry but I told our friends we would be joining them. Plus, it's a little awkward for us to sit with the honored couple", Jay speak out for me, his hand creeping down around my waist.
