It's now opening day for spring sports and both the lacrosse team and the baseball team have games today. We are playing our rival team, the Tigers. The baseball game is before our lacrosse game, so Rory and I went over to the field to watch.

Both Finn and Asher are on the baseball team, and they're both pretty good. Our team ended up winning, and afterwards, Finn came over to us, covered in dirt but smiling big, just like he always is.

"Good job!" Rory and I say in unison. He gives us both a hug. I was going to go over and talk to Asher too, but he was talking with some other people, and Rory and I needed to go get ready for our game, so I didn't get to talk to him.

As Rory and I were suiting up for our game, she spoke up. "Umm Sadie, hottie coming in behind you." I turned around and looked up to see Asher making his way straight for me. His hair was messy from wearing a baseball cap and his face was covered in face paint, but he looked good. He smiled at me and offered me his hand to help me up from my sitting position.

"Sadie," he started, "I have been 'seeing you around' for some time now, and that gets a little boring. I was wondering if I could see you more often. Would you like to go out with me?" He smiled his shiny white teeth at me and I couldn't help but gush over the way he was gently holding my hand, patiently waiting for my response.

I turned around to look at Rory, who was silently screaming of excitement. I turned back around and found those fireworks that I see so often in his eyes. Sparks were flying all over the place and my heart was pounding with adrenaline.

I smiled back at him and said "Absolutely, Pretzel Boy."

He hugged me and it felt like the world had fallen into place.

Our game is now about to start, and I just gave a great motivational speech to my team. I am a team captain after all. I'm hyped up.

I take one last look around before I dial into my game. Finn and Asher are sitting together in the stands, talking happily to one another.

I looked at Finn. He gave me a wink, and I smiled back.

Then I looked over at Asher. He was eating a soft pretzel. He blew me a kiss, mid-chew. I smiled and blew a kiss back.

I couldn't help but think about how uninterested I was in boys before I met these two. I wanted nothing to do with them. I may have screwed up along the way, but it was worth it to have these great guys that I know today.

I shook my head, reminiscing on all the mistakes I made. No, things are different now. I looked over at Rory and she smiled. The whistle blew, and the game began.

This is the start of a new season.
