You woke to soft kisses on your shoulder and a hand gently rubbing circles on your stomach. The soft mutters from your wife finally reached your ears and made them twitch, causing your eyes to flutter open. A soft whine came from Cassandra before she got impatient and her kisses moved to your neck, a giggle leaving her when you squealed at the feeling of her fangs.

"Good morning, my love," Cassandra purred and nuzzled her cheek against yours. "Still no morning sickness?"

"Thankfully," You whispered before returning the affectionate purr. "It won't be long now... I'm still shocked mother Miranda was able to do this — the cadou really is amazing."

"I hope it's a girl. And I hope she has your smile."

You buried your face in her neck at that, a flustered whine leaving you in the process. It may be seven months after your one year with Cassandra, but her compliments always seemed to fluster you. She waited for you to move away from her neck before capturing your lips in a kiss, both of you smiling into it. You pouted when she broke the kiss, gripping her nightgown before pulling her in for another kiss.

Cassandra giggled but returned the kiss anyway, one hand rubbing your stomach while her free arm wrapped around your waist. You let out a soft moan when she squeezed your waist and deepened the kiss, entangling your fingers in her hair. A knock at the door made you break the kiss — which now gave Cassandra access to your neck that she began kissing immediately.

"Aunties! Breakfast!" You smiled at the voice of Costin — Isa and Daniela's son — before pulling away from Cassandra.

"We'll be right there!" You called back and giggled when you heard his giggle, followed by the sound of him taking off down the hall in a run.

"I still can't believe they adopted a human," Cassandra hummed as she sat up. "But I understand the reasoning behind it. Do you still want to adopt some day?"

"As long as you want to as well."

"I'd happily grow our family in the future. How long do we wait after this one is born?"

"A few years?" You suggested with an ear twitch as she rubbed your stomach. "Gives us time with them and to prepare."

"Sounds like a plan," Cassandra hummed and glanced at your stomach when you winced in pain. "They kicked my hand."

"Strong kick," You grumbled once the feeling faded. "I guess they like that plan."

Cassandra nodded before getting out of bed and helping you. Once you were both presentable, she held your hand and began the path to the dining hall. That was one of the downsides of being pregnant; Cassandra couldn't swarm you places. Every time she did, you'd get sick and she'd have to carry you back to the room. Which meant you were excited and scared about having the child. Cassandra had offered to carry the child, but her body rejected the cadou Miranda had modified.

You were all shocked when your body didn't do the same, but now you were ecstatic. Once you reached the dining hall, you sent everyone a smile and took your seats. Costin sat on Daniela's lap with a wide smile on his face, leaning into her when her arms wrapped around him. Bela whispered something to Hunter before she cleared her throat, gaining everyone's attention.
