One Year Later

"Dani?!" I called after entering the library. "'Dite!?"

When neither answered, I let out a low huff. 'Where could they be?'

"Hey, Isa," The godling glanced up from the book they were reading. "Have you seen my girlfriends?"

"...How do you misplace a goddess and a vampire?"

"I didn't misplace them... They weren't there when I woke up. Either of them! That's the weird part!"

Isa blinked slowly before tilting their head. "What's so weird about that? Doesn't it happen at least once a week? You know how-."

"It's our anniversary," I sighed out. "And I haven't seen either all day..."

"Oh..." The godling trailed before slowly standing and letting out an awkward laugh. "Let me check Olympus."

"Please? I'll keep looking for Dani..."

Isa disappeared in a brief flash of fire, making me roll my eyes at their dramatic exit before I left the library. 'This has been the worst anniversary ever,' I frowned to myself before deciding to head to my old room. 'Not even a note!' When my face hit my pillow, I decided to let sleep wash over me, remembering the year of dating them.

"Dani!" I giggled when she picked me up. "I'm working!"

"Aphrodite's here," Daniela purred next to my ear. "She has a surprise for us tonight — I had to tell you now."

"Did you get a look at it?"

"No... She wasn't carrying anything, so we probably won't see it until she's ready to show us."

I pouted as she turned me around in her arms, letting me face her. "Darn."

"I'm sure we'll enjoy it," Daniela hummed before pecking my lips.

"Oh-! Speaking of things we'll enjoy. Remember that book you wanted but your Mother wasn't able to get a copy of?"

"Yeah, I pouted for weeks until she gave that conclusion."

"And weeks after," I giggled before nodding toward a book on the table. "Well, I told 'Dite about the situation and she spoke with Athena."

"No way," Daniela smiled and put me down, making her way over to the table. "You got it for me?!"

"With 'Dite and Athena's help," I smiled and joined her, sitting next to her on the couch. "Want to read it while I take a break?"

"Come here," Daniela giggled, her arm wrapping around my waist and pulling me as close to her body as possible. "I have a story to read you."

"[Y/N]," Came Aphrodite's purr before I felt her lips on the back of my neck. "I know you're not tired after one round."

"That's one round since the sun went down," I countered as she placed another kiss. "We've been at it all day."
