It was months before I was allowed to visit Cassandra again — mother and the gods keeping me far too busy for my liking. I skipped up to the castle doors and knocked, excited to see the vampire again. 'I hope she hasn't forgotten about me,' A frown took over my face at the thought. 'Who am I kidding?! She couldn't keep her eyes off me!' I smiled at the maid that answered the door before walking inside.

"Who-?" Cassandra stopped in the doorway when she saw me. "You're back..."

"I promised I'd be back one day," I giggled and walked over to her. "I always keep my promises."

"I seem to recall you promising me a date the next time we see each other."

"Did I? Well, I can't start breaking my promises now."

Eight Months Ago

"When will I see you again?" Cassandra frowned, holding me in place.

"I'm not sure," I sighed and cupped her cheeks. "But when I come back, I'll take you on a date, okay?"

"You better."

"I promise — and I always keep those."

"...One more kiss?" Cassandra giggled and leaned forward. "Please? How else will I remember my muse?"

"You're impossible," I laughed and kissed her. "Who knew my magic would make someone fall for me so fast."

Cassandra smiled into the kiss. "Shut up and start planning our date."

Present

"Did you plan our date?" Cassandra hummed and pulled me further into the castle.

"Sorta," I laughed. "I was pretty busy, so I couldn't focus entirely on it, but I think you'll like what I have."

"Honestly, you could take me to a room and talk to me all night and I would consider that a date."

"Oh please, I'd at least add some sparkles with my magic."

"...Can you?"

I giggled and wiggled my fingers, causing sparkles to appear — even causing the weapons to shine. Cassandra smiled before taking a few steps forward, reaching for one of the sparkles. I reached for the one she did and moved it closer to her, taking her wrist in my other hand. She watched as I removed her glove and placed the sparkle in her hand.

"Don't freak out," I whispered and moved behind her, keeping my hands around hers. "Keep it like this."

"It's... So warm," Cassandra breathed with a smile. "How-?"

"Magic, my dear," I kissed her cheek and snapped my fingers, making the color of the sparkle change from yellow to red. "I could teach you the spell, but it's ancient Greek-."
