Back at the dorm, Emma and Natasha walked to their room, luckily she had an extra pair of shoes in the car. Thank God for that.
"Is that how she usually is?" Emma asked as they walked.
"Some days but I just did not have the patience to deal with her today." They had reached their room and Natasha brought out her keycard.
"And you don't need to worry about her or my shoes, I was planning on going shopping anyway." She smiled opening the door but stopped noticing somebody standing in front of the door after theirs. Room No 34.
"Huh?" Emma turned to see what Natasha was looking at and there was a lady with a suitcase about to open the door.
"Hello." She waved at them with a lovely smile.
"Hi." They replied in unison to the kind looking stranger.
She walked towards them and put out her hand.
"I'm new here. My name's Summer Day. Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too."
They replied shaking her hand in turns.
"You must be wondering why I'm standing here with a suitcase right? I'm new here. I got into some trouble with my transfer documents so yh that's why I'm late to school."
"Transfer?" Emma wondered.
"Oh! Are the the person who got the other scholarship?" She asked snapping her fingers.
"The one and only." Summer replied excitedly.
"I'm the one who got the full scholarship. Emma Blake." Emma smiled.
"It's lovely to meet you again Emma." Summer smiled back at her.
"It seems like you got the single room." Natasha said pointing to the next door.
"It would seems so. I would've loved having a roommate though." Summer sounded a bit sad.
"You can come chill with us like whenever you like if you're interested." Natasha said after glancing Emma's direction almost requesting a confirmation.
"Really?! Oh Thank you so much." Summer squealed.
"I would have felt so lonely being all alone in this room."
"It's cool." Emma said, "oh and by the way, do you watch the new series 'All for you'?"
"Do I? Rachel's newest project. I love it." Summer replied with sparkling eyes imagining a scene from it.
Natasha and Emma looked at her then back at each other and smiled.
"So we'll see you at 7:00 then?" Natasha asked wearing a smile.
"Go settle in now."
"Ok. Yes I'll see you then." Summer excitedly went back to the door and entered her room with her suitcase.
As soon as Emma and Natasha entered their room, they both fell to the couch.
"Natasha?"
"Yeah?"
"I didn't really get to take a bite of my ice cream." She giggled, "and I'm still worn out."
"Sorry I totally forgot about that." Natasha scratched the back of her head briefly feeling sorry, "but their ice creams are amazing though."
She took hold of her phone.
"You know what? I'm going to place an order for it right away."
"You could, do that all along?" Emma's sounded a bit surprised,
"then why did we have to go all the way there?"
"It's all part of the journey Emma. You needed that first hand experience. You can't dilute it with any other thing." Natasha replied cooly.
Emma reached for her phone but it wasn't there.
"Huh? My phone. It's not here."
"Did you forget it somewhere or..." Natasha was interuppted by a knock on the door.
"I'll get it." Standing up Emma walked to the door and opened it still looking back scanning the room for her phone.
"Looking for this?" The person at the door asked as Emma turned to see her phone and Oliver?
"Yes I am. I mean I was but not anymore I guess..." She took the phone from his hand and breathed a sign of relief.
"Thank you so very much. I thought I lost it. You must be here to see Natasha right? I'll go get her."
As she turned to go, Oliver caught her hand midway.
"No. Don't go. Not yet."
A similar scene briefly flashed before her eyes. Why did this feel so familiar. When she turned to him, he looked so... Sad? Why was he...?
"Who's there?" Natasha asked coming to the door to meet Oliver holding Emma's hand and intensely looking at her.
"Oliver?"
Hearing his name broke his gaze on Emma. He slowly left her hand and regained his former composure as he turned to Natasha holding up a package.
"Order up."
"Thanks."
Natasha collected it holding up her phone with her other hand.
"Was just placing an order. Help drop it on the table please."
She gave the package to Emma who looked a bit shaken up.
"Are you ok Em?" She seemed unstable so Natasha held her by the shoulders.
"Yh. I think I'm getting a headache. Maybe it's due to the too much walking around today. I'll go sit down now." She added the last part jokingly
"Ok." Natasha let go of her and turned to Oliver as Emma went to drop the ice cream.
Oliver trailed her briefly. Looking very concerned before his attention returned to the conversation at hand.
"I just want to apologize again for Jasmine's behavior towards you. Totally unacceptable and unexcuseable she shouldn't have done that."
"Aren't you a cutie?" Natasha ruffled up his hair.
"Coming to apologize on your girlfriend's behalf and all. I still wonder how you guys are still together. Can't you just break up with her already? I mean you don't seem to like her anymore right?" She looked at him with puppy dog eyes.
Oliver hugged her then calmly stroked her hair.
"I will always be here to clean up their mess. That's why I'm her boyfriend and your friend ok?"
He pecked her hair, "Don't get mad at her. She's just jealous for no good reason."
"Yh but you didn't answer the breaking up part." She murmured.
"What's that?" Oliver acted like he didn't hear that part making her giggle and playfully push him away.
"You better leave now before your 'girlfriend' misunderstands and comes for my head. Goodnight Olly."
"Goodnight Tasha." He peeked inside the room.
"Goodnight Emma. It was very nice meeting you today and again I am so sorry for what happened earlier And. Hope you feel better by tomorrow."
"Thanks. Nice meeting you too. Goodnight Oliver." She waved him away.
"Yh. Bye." He left as Natasha slowly closed the door behind her.
"Bye Olly."
