Chapter 2

I didn't speak to anyone for the rest of the day. The conversation that I shared with Eridan wouldn't be thought about until I got home. I had school to think about, even if I didn't even want to do any of it.

I was thankful for the bell to ring. History was only making my heart feel more stepped on then anything. Not only were there happy couples and laughing friends, but the four people that have been making my life a living hell were also there, holding hands under desks, or at least trying to without breaking anything. And, of course, I'm the one that gets ignored.

The hallways were filled with the same jumble and excitement that was there this morning, the same energy thriving in everyone that was sane.

Except for me. I kept getting bumped into, pushed into lockers and even sometimes other people. It was very annoying and my shoulder was starting ache. Those lockers are hard.

By the time I made it to my own locker and grabbed my things, I was sure I had bruises on every part of my upper body. And maybe my feet. But I ignored the pain and headed towards the busses.

"God dammit!" I hissed.

Of course. Of. Freaking. Course. The buses were gone. Left without me. Not even a hint that the last one was still leaving. I basically had no way home except to walk.

"Language, Miss Leijon."

That British accent was too much for one day. I don't know how anyone can stand it or find it 'sexy' in any way.

"What do you want again, Ampurra?" I growled. His constant appearance in one day was giving me a headache. More pain for me. Yippee.

"Must you call me that silly name? It's not exactly my style, Miss Leijon, as you can see," Eridan stuck his nose in the air and gestures to his hilarious attire. "But don't answer that, you'll just bore me anyways."

Rolling my eyes, I crossed my arms and blew a strand of hair from my face. "Then what are you here for anyways?"

I saw him smirk slightly, then waved his hand towards the parking lot. "I see that the buses have left and you're here all alone. Don't you normally ride the buses home?"

"Yeah. What of it?"

"Well, it would be such a shame for you to walk home, especially when you're not yourself. I'd be worried that you might do something rash. So I brought it upon myself to wonder if you'll like a ride home..." He trailed off, adjusting his spectacles before smiling at me.

"I really don't feel like being stuck for another period of time with you again, today..."

"Of course, you might not agree, but you won't be alone. I have a few others in my vehicle that have been stranded on such a day."

Before I could make a decision, the sky rumbled, hinting at sudden rain and wetness.

I sighed, begrudgingly agreeing and followed him to a fancy and expensive looking car. Of course, it was a royal purple, something that Eridan has been fawning over for years and I shouldn't be surprised.
